Diesel9998
LOBSTER FISHING By: Diesel9998 Introduction: The art of lobster fishing is a old and dear one. It requires the dedication to get to level 40 fishing, and even more as you wait to catch the bronze of the sea. (The reason there the broze of the sea is that sword fish are the silver and sharks are the gold). Many people fish lobster for money and they should, it's one of the best ways to make money if you're f2p. In this guide I will be taking you through a walkthrough of each step you will enconter while on the lobster trail. Requirments: Now did you think that such a prized money maker was going to be easy? Well of course not. But you shouldn't fear. there aren't that many. --Fishing level: 40+ You need 40 fishing to fish lobsters, but a higher one is recommended as you catch them faster. --Money: At least 60gp (hopefully more) The money is to take you to Karamja, which is the only place where you can fish lobsters in f2p. Suggested Requirments: You dont HAVE to have these but it will make your life so much easier. You don't NEED to have these but it will make your life so much easier. --Explorer's Ring (3) If you have this item your life will be a breeze. This single item will cut the total time of running back and forth by about 1/3. This ring will also restore running percesntage points 3 times a day. Procedure: Most people start at the bank of Draynor village, but you don't have to start there. There are two ways you can fish lobsters in f2p, With Explorer's Ring (3) Or Without Ring In this segment I will explane how to do it with the Ring: Once you get everything you need for the trip, you can use the teleport cabbage on the Explorers ring to to take you to the cabbage patch south of Falador (The red dot is where you will telepot.) Now with your lobster cage, 30 gp, and explorers ring: (Now remember that that you will be wearing the ring, so it wont be in you inventory.) Go to the seamen in the blue uniforms at Port Sarim and ask them to take you to Karamja. Then run west until you get to the banana trees, go north intill you get to a dock and fish lobsters. Once you get a full inventory, activate your explorers ring that'll send you to the cabbage patch. Run to the Draynor bank and deposite your loot. Then extract 30gp and cabbage teleport again. And repeat. Another cool thing about the explorers ring is that it can recharge your run energy which is quite useful for cutting down time. In this part I will explain how to do it without the Ring: (It's mostly the same as above with a few little differences) Once you have the lobster cage and 60gp, yes 60gp because now you have to pay to go and come back. Go to the seamen in the blue and he will take you to the island. You run to the banana trees then north to the fishing docks. After getting your load of lobsters you have to run back to the boat and pay 30gp again to go back to Port Sarim. Once you're there you then have to run back to the Edgeville bank and deposit. Then repeat. Another bad thing of this way is that there is so much more running than the other method. Also you lose a place for a lobster by having to carry the extra money with you. Yomyth105
You can fish them in Wilderness too. Put more pictures and it will be an ok guide. :) Oh i didnt know that you could fish them in the wilderness and i will be adding more pictures soon. well fishing in wild is still far from bank and sort of dangerous due to revs. On Topic: 1) The guide isnt very clear. Tell us step by step on what to do and how. You are saying to fish lobbs when we dont even know where and what to bring. fix this up a bit. make it easy to read by making titles etc. 2) dont use */*/*/*/*/*/*/ etc just skip a line 3) u have a few typos around (pic says bank of edgeville? wtf? 4) tell us how much profit u make, xp per hour and all that stuff. the reader wants to know why it is better then their money making method right now 5) for title write f2p in there and in ur post because the majority of the guides r p2p so by including f2p the f2per can easily find ur topic. otherwise just keep working on it. and include a few more pics. have a picture of what ur inventory should look like. on a world map where u should go. etc.
123_x_pac
Since agility is a P2P skill, F2P'ers wouldn't be able to reap the reward of faster energy re-gain. So unless the person was a former member, that part is useless. CookMePlox
This is a start. You've explained how to get to the lobster dock, but not really what to do after you get there. You'd probably want to say what types of worlds are best for this, and, give me some numbers. I want to know how long it takes for a load, how long to get there and back, how much XP you cam get per hour, and of course, the money per hour. Also, you probably want to fix up the spelling and a bit more. Make it flow better, too. Put more periods in, less commas. At this point, I'd give it a 6/10. i_r_slayer
At the very end, I don't think you want to run from port sarim to edgeville to bank =). Once you have the lobster cage and 60gp, yes 60gp because now you have to pay to go and come back. Go to the seamen in the blue and he will take you to the island. You run to the banana trees then north to the fishing docks. After getting your load of lobsters you have to run back to the boat and pay 30gp again to go back to Port Sarim. K4ylan
There's a neat little bank deposit box right here: So really, a faster option would be to take a lobster pot, some cash (3k or more, however much you want to fish), and your Explorer's Ring equipped. 1) Use Cabbageport2) Run to Port Sarim and go to Karamja3) Fish an inventory of Lobsters4) Cabbageport5) Deposit at Deposit Box6) Repeat steps 2-6 as necessary With this method however, you can't access your bank directly, so you will need money on you at all times. It is much faster than banking at Draynor however. ~~~The Harpy List~~~Harpy Facts~~~It's Super Effective~~~The Beginning~~~Harpy Therapy Center~~~Alg~~~Jedi Harpy~~~Rohirrim~~~Attenuation~~~

12pure34
@Red_fat: In my early days of lobster fishing (Runescape classic times), I once got stuck on karamaja by not having 30 gp for the trip back. Took me a few minutes to realize .. I could sell fish to the general store. Either way, the 60 gp is for the trip TO the island and the trip FROM the island. In case you don't have a teleport with you. (I think)

kingmickez25
Theres A Npc on the island that will exchange your fish for bank notes its about the same distance from the fishing spot to the boat or a big longer but its better since u can camp there for ages
Kaida23
The NPC's name is Stiles. He only exchanges lobster, tuna and swordfish and he can be found here: Edit: I just tried it out, and you can one-click note all of your lobster, tuna and swordfish (both raw and cooked). kingmickez25 is right, if you use Stiles you don't have to leave Karamja at all. Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P.
