Okay, I'm planning on tanking aviansies, with 75rng and 75def.

 

And I expect to get decent cash from it and know the inventory, or enough of it. 100+ B2P, A fire staff and 500 Natures.

 

 

 

But what about the clothes?

 

I was thinking of instead of using barrows, use dragon, like this:

 

 

 

Dragon Med helm,

 

Arma Pendant,

 

Saradomin Body,

 

Zamorak God Cape,

 

Rune Cbow,

 

Dragon Skirt,

 

Dragon Boots,

 

Regen Brace (testing a theory at same time, def is nice too)

 

Obsidian Shield (or should I just get a granite shield? Same def i think)

 

Ring of Life.

 

 

 

And how many Broad bolts? Should I bring some enchanted emerald aswell, for slightly quicker kills if my level isnt high enough?

 

 

 

And just comments on the inventory, and armour.

Use fire runes, they're cheap and I once alched the rune c'bow.When tanking I use barrows so I don't know what to say about your outfit.100 B2p tabs ought to last you for a long time.Buy 10k broad bolts and see how far you get with those.

> You're level is fine, kills will be fast with broads and emerald (e) is just a waste.

Obsidian shield and granite have the same ranged defence, apparently.

 

 

 

Oh and, if I use a coif I'm going to have lower defence, and atm its under avg.

 

And I dont have 1m to waste on bandos boots. ;)

I don't know how well you will do with out barrows but the regan braclet might compenstate a little. But i can tell you that take snakeskin boots instead of dragon boots. Dragon boots offer no range def.

When I did Aviansies I had lower ranged and the same defence as you, but even with lower defense I still didn't get hit often.

Oh and I dont have trollheim teleport yet, cant be bothered getting it, so I guess I have to bring a rope AND climbing boots?

yes you'll need both, and if you have zammy sara and armadyl item really dont need to be worried, nothing will attack you so long as you stay outta the boss rooms, just attack the 73s and the 79s, bring a grapple with you to go to the easier part of the dungeon , just drop it when you've crossed, bring a 1 click tele just incase for your 1st time

And also, accumulator/attractor is a must.

Thats why I suggested the combat bracelet, it has ranged attack/defense bonuses, is cheap and has four teleports to the Warriors Guild, which in en route to God Wars.

acumulator instead of cape, pretty much this is what i found to be good,( gonna change barrwos to dragon for you) d med, arma pendant, acumulator, broad bolts, rune c bow barrows gloves, snake skin boots, zammy top and sara chaps (either sara top and zammy chaps is good too) granite shield, ring of life (unless you want to get more rune dags than addy bars)

Contrary to belief, Dragon boots offer no Ranged Defense bonuses (you need no other defense bonuses for Aviansies, only Ranged) and Dragon Boots actually decrease Ranged Offense bonus by 1 (-1 Ranged Attack bonus). You are also better off not wearing boots as opposed to wearing Dragon Boots :D

 

 

 

Use Snakeskin Boots instead, as they don't decrease your Ranged Offense bonuses. (they increase your Ranged Attack bonus by +3) Snakeskin Boots are also much cheaper, a mere 14k~, as opposed to the cost of Dragon Boots, 290k~.

 

 

 

Get a Granite Shield as opposed to an Obsidian Shield, buy Zamorak D'hide body. and do this: Get a Saradomin Cape, wear until you get into the Eeyrie, then drop it or keep it in your inventory and then switch it off for an Accumulator, as the Accumulator is essential!

 

 

 

 

 

At 75 Defense and with only Dragon armor, you would get torn apart there. Just buy Torag's Armor, degrading costs are overrated. Dragon is [Cabbage] there.

 

 

 

I never tested Regan Brace, may be an awesome discovery.

 

 

 

Take into consider my advice - I have been killing these since level 78 Ranged til now (95 Ranged) and will be killing these until 99 Ranged.

I'd rather play my defences and keep my armour this way.

 

And I dont have barrows gloves, dont plan on getting anytime soon - too much of a bother for me. (I havent even done MM)

 

Why should I waste 60k more on something when I already have something slightly lighter with the same ranged defence?

 

 

 

And if you have been aviansi'ing for so long, why do you say dragon is rubbish? It doesnt degrade, so you can stay there longer.

Dragon is rubbish.

 

 

 

Barrow degrade rates and costs are overrated.

 

 

 

It doesn't make trips more profitable, it makes it much more difficult and much shorter than the 15 hours barrows degrades in because you use tabs more often.

 

 

 

Bring Excalibur, ranged pots, and Bunyips if you have them as well.

 

 

 

Sell the Obsidian Shield if you are only going to use it for aviansies, sell for a Granite Shield - Use the difference to buy Barrows armor.

Plus, I would rather wear dragon.

Let me break it down in Layman's terms:

 

 

 

No. Dragon is not effiecent at Aviansies for your current Defense/Ranged level.

 

Barrows is more efficient - You are certain to make as much as cash or even more using Barrows armor - including all repair costs.

 

I was only suggesting a Bunyip for future Aviansie killings - you are acting as though you would never hit 68 Summoning.

 

I have never tested the Regan Brace for Aviansies - but sounds like it could work really well.

 

Bringing a Zamorak Cape in place of an Accumulator is a horrible idea.

Barrows armor lasts fifteen hours. Why would you need to stay there for fifteen hours? You'd be forced to leave behind lots of ranarrs.

Your lvl is high enough and about 5-10k Broad Bolts (depends on how long you're going to stay).

 

You wont need emerald bolts: it is like throwing money away lol.And just comments on the inventory, and armour.

Barrows only degrades when you are in combat. And Barrows + repair costs >>> Dragon. Trust me go with torags and sell the dragon junk.
