November 10, 200817 yr So right now I have about 8mil, and I want to know which f2p skill to spend it on. I've decided I don't like pk'ing, and being a f2p for the time being, I might as well as well use it for skilling : So, right off the bat, I don't want to blow it on firemaking, I know for my level it'll cost about 4mil for 99, but what good is 99 fm anyway? Any other skills to spend 8mil on, I would be willing to consider. Also, as of right now, I'm doing skills, such as mining, woodcutting, fishing, runecrafting, to gain money for further skilling. So any help would be great. Thanks! Goals:Str: 86/90Hitpoints: 85/90Fletching: 96/99Fishing: 74/80Prayer: 61/70Woodcutting: 82/85Magic 80/80
November 10, 200817 yr Cooking is good, I guess. Until you stop burning lobsters switch to swordies to 99. Erm... Smithing and crafting! Though crafting is extremely lame in F2P... And smithing is almost the same. I dont have much of an idea in comparison to what other F2P'ers might have, to be honest I havent trained anything a F2P way for a while. I dont need a siggy no moar.
November 10, 200817 yr Well if you are going to be getting members again in the future I would say just save your money and do the skills like mining and woodcutting which can be done at the same rate (exp/hour) in both f2p and members. If you absolutely MUST spend your money then FM or cooking would probably be your best bet. You could possibly do crafting, but I don't know if bracelets are members or not and they would be the best thing to craft as far as loss of gp goes. Apparently, my signature was to big.
November 10, 200817 yr Author what about high alching? Goals:Str: 86/90Hitpoints: 85/90Fletching: 96/99Fishing: 74/80Prayer: 61/70Woodcutting: 82/85Magic 80/80
November 10, 200817 yr what about high alching? If you can find something better than emmy/ruby bracelets or yew/magic longbows to alch and it be f2p, then you my friend have just found the solution to everyone's alching woes. If you wait until you are p2p again (I am assuming you will be) then you can minimize the loss you take as well as maximizing the exp you gain with the same amount of money spent. If that makes sense. Meaning, say with 8m gp you alch yew longs and you gain 3m exp. Well if you were to alch something in f2p your loss would potentially be increased meaning that same 8m gp you can only get 2m exp in f2p. (hypothetical numbers, just and example) Apparently, my signature was to big.
November 10, 200817 yr I think magic is a great way to spend your money on for skills. Since you probably are going to go to P2P eventually, you will already be ahead when you switch over. :D http://sign.tip.it/1/6/24/304/lady_scm.png Drops/Clue Finds:Shield left half: 1,Dragon plateskirt: 1, Warrior's Helm: 1, Obsidian Cape: 1, Robin Hood Hat: 1, Dragon Platelegs: 1, Dragon Boots: 4, Amulet of Ranging: 1
November 10, 200817 yr Well you have a fem options. You could either spend 4mil of it on getting yourself too 99cooking(like i am doing), you could get yourself some crafting levels. I suggest you make emerald rings till you get to 70, then make something that only gives a little loss, like ruby rings maybe. Alching is a good idea. If you alch Dhide boddies you only loose 20-40gp per alch. dont spend money on runecrafting, rather just make earth runes and make a smaal profit that spend 8mil on getting 4levels by using tiaras. smithing is not one of my fav skills so i can offer no help there. **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]
November 10, 200817 yr How about fire bolting Ice Giants south of Port Sarim, low money spent and you also get prayer xp. other then That, get 92 FM for Inferno Adze when you get members, maybe 90+ cooking, and 75-80 crafting. If you wanna train smithing, the best xp for you would be superheating addy bars. Other then that, not much else to spend it on, maybe just some of full Sara or Zammy, but I never really liked god armors much, but I do like Rune (t). Have fun on f2p, it can get pretty boring. woot. You are one with the matrix. November 10, 200817 yr Try: -Alching -Superheating -Emerald Rings -Tiaras -Fire Strike (on the Fire Wizard) If you ever want intentions to become a member, raise your f2p skills nice and high, around 50-70 for the best results. You'll also want a solid combat level and 92 firemaking then. What else? Oh yes, a high magic level, but other than that if you want to become a member I'd suggest saving money more than spending it. ~It's Super Effective! November 10, 200817 yr Are you f2p? WAIT BEFORE THE FLAME I saw in your signature that you have 92/99 fletching. So are you f2p? Pureprayer, you're awesome.

November 10, 200817 yr I would suggest saving about 3-4mil to spend on prayer to get piety, I can tell you right now that the amount of times I use piety that it was easily one of the best investments I made.
November 11, 200817 yr Use some of the 8M to buy members?... :-# First off, that will hardly get a few months of membership if I'm not mistaken. Secondly, I'm sure he can afford it. Ok, sarcasm and all, but still. I don't get these topics... I think it should be you who decides what to go for, not some forumers who know nothing about your playing habits. You're being watched.
November 11, 200817 yr I would either invest it on GE or invest on a skill which you can profit on, so when you go back to mems you're not broke  95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]
November 11, 200817 yr if u are spending it on a skill take firemaking since the exp rate is the same whether you are in f2p or p2p unless you want to burn magic logs which is...dumb maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cookinglife may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it
November 11, 200817 yr If you are gonna be a mem again within like 1-2 months i would try to get the 99 in ftp its just super slow, do what i do when im ftp prepare for a quest you want to do in mems get the req in non mems or use non mems as a way to make money, yews are great money. also i would like to say, instead of spending money on a 99... try something new get a 99 that makes you money
November 11, 200817 yr http://www.runescape.com/kbase/view.ws? ... g_creation With this new minigame out, it would be wise for you to train the skills mentioned there to the required levels, such as mining, fishing, or combat. woot. You are one with the matrix.
