If I cook sharks from 94-99 cooking with the current prices, assuming I burn none, how much more will i lose compared to cooking monks?

No idea but I can work it out and answer in !5 mins.

But I'm sure the loss wouldnt matter if you're efficient enough to make some cash within the time saved from sharks.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

from exactly 94 -

Sharks needed - 24238

Monks needed - 33933.

Thats a significant amount of time saved to make more money there. =D>

Not sure about prices. Just multiply the amount there with the loss on market price.

I dont need a siggy no moar.

I'd go with sharks either way.

I dont think the loss would be as much if you could go and make a load of gp in the time saved.

And dont forget to farm ranarrs/kwuarms/snaps when you cook.

Big deal cutting off every hour or so

I dont need a siggy no moar.

ROFL ROFL ROFL!!

Just did the math...

2,509,042 loss with monks as of current prices...

2,666,180 loss with sharks as of current prices...

Like 150k difference!

Lets go with sharks!

The figure of only saving 150K by taking the slow method of cooking monks is very misleading. At level 94 you will no longer burn monks. I'm currently level 94 and was cooking sharks yesterday that some Brine Rats donated to my cooking cause. I was burning 4-5 sharks per load (not wearing cooking gauntlets). Even if you have gauntlets on, you are going to have some burnt sharks, which will substantially increase the price difference. I'd still recommend sharks if you have the money to spare, just expect to take larger losses than what was initially proposed.

You have some facts wrong. First off, there have been people who are 99 cooking and have burnt monks. Sharks do not burn after 94 with the gauntlets.

Sir,

seriously, dude you're so wrong there.

With sharks + gaunts you stop burning barely over level 94, 150k used more with sharks than monks in the time saved?

You can make money back by running butterfly jars in nardah.

I believe its you that has some facts wrong, once I hit level 90 I cooked 1k Monks with Gaunts on and didn't burn a single one, thats good enough for me to say you stop burning them then...

For the record, you never ever stop burning monks. Just the chances are so rediculously low at higher levels you can probably get 99 without burning 1 if you're lucky. I've burnt 1 monk out of about 8k since 99 cook. So you do still burn but, for all intents and purposes you don't.

Ray's advice is spot on with what to cook ;) keep an eye on prices though.

I had 86 cooking when I decided to cook about 79 sharks.

I burned 23.

If 89 is so great, my estimation would be 19 burns /79.

Thats not good.

No, I do not have my facts wrong. As stated in an above post, someone has burned a monk since 99 cooking, and there have been several others that claim that as well. You can say just because you cooked 1k and didn't burn one that you won't, you need to cook a very high number to be absolutely sure.

And about Ray's advice, that's what I'm doing with the exception of Swordies at 81 instead of 86 since you don't burn them with the guants at 81.

Good Ol' Vulx.

Knows how to train.

I didnt know the level for swordies with gaunts since I got non-burn (86) in F2P so the info was kinda no use to me..

<_<

Dont train cooking, seriously.

Wow, way to spam a thread. Seriously, some people actually like training useful skills. If you want to post things like this, go do it in the Debate Club forum where people pontificate for pages and pages about whether or not so-and-so skill is worthwhile. Keep it on topic, why don't you?

First of all, its not useful.

Secondly, it's just an advice.
