RichieMcD
Against the rules, not sure about that as there is a video on youtube of Zezima "marrying" someone with plenty of J-Mods present. Peace of advise, there's no legal form of getting married on Runescape meaning the person you marry isn't actually married to you in any legal form and can do whatever the hell they want with other people. Why would you want to get married in a mmorpg though, sounds pretty well........"different" to put it nicely.
Laikrob
Moved to Help & Advice. Please ask all RuneScape related questions here. On topic: You can have a ceremony for fun, but that's all there is to it. Have a friend perform the ceremony, and live happily ever after. Or more likely you won't and drama will occur, but it's a game afterall. : It's not against the rules to have an in-game wedding. What is against the rules, is asking someone if they want to be your girlfriendf/boyfriend. How you solve the logistics, is up to you. Laikrob, Tip.It Moderator. You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now? Avid43
Online relationships are just way to weird for my liking, read this story from a National Newspaper in the UK last week and tell me there ok lol... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article1929886.ece
Zappa2510
from the article I ended up going off to his mum and dads in floods of tears. He confessed hed been talking to this woman player in America then said our marriage was over. wonder if their parents was on second life too :P most male/female friendships/relationships on rs, doesnt go any farther then rs. And if they do go beyond rs, they tend to have more problems.
Dragon_lord
If you're just role-playing (since this is an MMORPG) then there's nothing wrong with having a pretend wedding for lols and giggles. Just don't take it seriously and behave as if you're actually married (e.g getting jealous irl if your "spouse" talks to another player). If by married you mean is there a game feature that "bounds" two players together and marks them as married as in other MMOs, then no there isn't. Even if you have a pretend wedding you gain no in-game benefits from it. Oh btw, just because I said it may be okay in certain cases doesn't mean I have any intention of doing anything of the sort. Pretty much what Dragon said.Thread terminated.I guess that means I'm the thread Terminator? No Tip.Iters were harmed in the making of this post.
JoeDaStudd
most male/female friendships/relationships on rs, doesnt go any farther then rs. And if they do go beyond rs, they tend to have more problems. I know a guy who saved up hundreds of pounds to go and see he rs girlfriend. At the time he was 18 and really wanted to see her (he lives in the UK, she lives in the US). After saving all the cash they broke up about a month before he was meant to fly out. Above all you need to remember this is just a game. Once when you are born and once when you look death in the face. Do not fear Death. Death is always at our side. When we show fear, it jumps at us faster than light. But, if we do not show fear, it casts its eye upon us gently and then guides us into infinity...
The Dark Lord
Bet you can't wait for the wedding night, eh? The best way to get married is to go to the church in Entrana and get married by a Saradomin priest. Then, ask Jagex if they'll go ahead and fax both you and your spouse a certificate of marriage. Show it to your parents and ask them for money to go to wherever your spouse lives. Once there, say "Hi" to their parents and then both of you sneak into the bedroom and the deal's done. After that, it's your honeymoon. Enjoy. Most relationships on Runescape last 3 months before you two are engaged and then an average of 5 weeks before you marry. RS is a very good way to get to know someone and marry them. Call it "speed dating" if you will. It's the fast food of Holy Matrimony! SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.
