HarderCrushe
Hey guys ! I'm maxing range now :) but I need your help! Thanks. 99/99 attack99/99 strength82/99 range116 combat
RayOxide
So MSB and steel arrows? :| Why not rune cbow and broad bolts? Much more worthwhile. Anyway, 82-99 is basically a long term goal, due to my hatred of grinding, powertraining, and cannons, I would say do some ranged slayer and some (SOME) cannoning. Ranging trolls is good. Bloodvelds are good xp and some slightly decent cash and green charms. I'm ok with yaks. Only if you pick up the hides. They make money if you pick up the hides. Hides are 141gp each or so. I think they sell too. I dont need a siggy no moar.
kdtaereo
Slayer + Range is really ftw, Fire giants also. @santana_raphaelI'm retired from Runescape due to my really bad connection, maybe coming back soon

RayOxide
Hellhounds Dragons Yaks (for extreme safe training) Ice Trolls (ifi you cannon) Aviansies Ankous *edits* Underlined is for money Strikethrough is a no-no. Yaks for if you have a quick level, yeah fine. Aviansies arent close to decent xp but are such good money. Ankous = dull, boring, crowded. The drops arent even that great. People usually only go cause of the cluescroll and some decent drops that go with it. And ice trolls are awesome even without a cannon. Especially in Jatizso mines. I dont need a siggy no moar. ChaosFlames
Aviansies arent close to decent xp but are such good money. Whaddaya mean? I did avvy's at 86 ish range, and I found them to be great (maybe not great, but a bit above decent) exp. The cash is a nice extra bonus. Other than that, I think Ray hit it spot on. I don't promote using a cannon for exp, nor do support using chins to power-level. Although I'm fine with yaks. :o [94/99 Ranged][87/99 HP][80/85 Def][70/70 Pray]
bedman
Aviansies own. I am making up to 500k an hour and get around 50k ranged xp an hour. A Guide to Chinning in Ape atoll: up to 325kxp/h!
RayOxide
See the 50k ranged xp is a letdown. Personally I'd only go to aviansies if i was a real tight-[wagon] But the money can really help with bolts. Anyone know if the extra uberness hit by Dragon bolts adds to rangexp? I dont need a siggy no moar.
Roberthree
alternating Aviansie and Chinchompas are the best imo.

Ray I still don't see why you post on every range thread thinking you are some range expert and shooting down other peoples ideas when you are only 76 range (11% of 99). Hellhounds -> Good exp, only go here if you plan on doing clues. Dragons -> Bad exp, good money, don't recommend this. Yaks -> Great exp, tons of people camp here for 99 because it is best exp. Ice Trolls -> Terrible for normal ranging, all trolls have high range def. Aviansies -> Normal xp, good drops, crowded though and requires decent defence. Ankous -> Normal xp, good drops (yes Ray they are good). Of the list I would strongly recommend Yaks (for pure xp), Aviansies (if you want profit) and I will add Fire Giants/Dust Devils which are good money aswell. Here is another thread where I show how to range Dust Devils in Chaos Tunnels.
RayOxide
Its true, ice trolls are one of the best monsters to cannon. But without a cannon you can get 150k+ per inv. I dont need a siggy no moar.

He wants exp though, you can also range metal dragons for a nice profit, but they are terrible exp.
RayOxide
I can have my opinions. Ankous are literally CROWDED, DULL, and their drops ARENT good LOL. In comparison to ice trolls which are. 1. not crowded 2. cannonable 3. easily manipulated 4. better droppers Ankous really fail. And if i was so expert I wouldve said something about the hellhounds. Oh, and if you're so epic-awesome pro tell me why people get 99 ranged, RANGED of all things at nooby little yaks? And tbh this is like the 1st range thread I've actually said this on. I dont need a siggy no moar.

I had ankou's for slayer tasks a lot on my pure and they are the same as ranging any other monster really, and they aren't that crowded if you just hop a couple times. People get 99 range at yaks because they are the fastest range exp excluding cannon and chins. This guy has 99 attack and str so I assume he has a little bit of money, and yaks aren't much of a loss. A few runs to aviansies would cover the cost of getting 99 range at yaks. Don't flip out just because I call you wrong, I didn't powertrain my range. On my first account I did 73-97 range on fire giants, and 97-99 on slayer, On second account I did 80-99 range on slayer, and on my pure I did 73-94 range on dust devils. Range is my favorite combat stat and when I see you posting bad information here I will call you out on it, cause when people want to get 99 range quick they want information that is correct. Aslan
For range training I used greaters in Gu'Tanoth(take air staff and laws if you go there), blue dragons(got the bones for 70 pray) and then I switched to ogres(Blood Rune Tower near Ardougne). RayOxide
Whose the one yelling at me, saying im wrong for telling someone to make their 99 worthwhile Bed? @Aslan. Thats good xp, yeah. I would call it grinding cause you can turn and range some blues. But what a waste of crims. #-o I dont need a siggy no moar.

I would call it grinding cause you can turn and range some blues. But what a waste of crims. #-o Ray, you are wrogn because you cant get over the fact that grinding can be good, and just because they didnt earn a couple millions does not make their 99 any less worthwhile. Range at ankous, they have a combo of decent exp and loot, yaks are good aswell, or you can go to avainsies, from 82-90 range, and spend your earnings to chin the last 9 levels. RayOxide
No I'm not wrong. Telling someone not to grind isnt wrong or right. Its an opinion. Ant0n
Some people are just smart. Unlike you it seems. Would you wnat to get 20k range xp an hour and make 100k an hour, or get 50k -60k range per hour and then make money at 500k/h in the time saved?
