is that better to jump to monk when i will got 62 fishing or kepp fishing tunas/swordfishs and sell them?

It is still slow to fish Monkfish at 62. So I recommend stick to Lobster until 70

Monkfish,

Lobsters until 75, Swordies to 80 (using gloves preferred, lobsterrs are fast xp) and THEN monkfish.

 

 

 

It's slow anyhow, but it'll gradually get better.

If you want money for fishing, I would suggest sharks at 80, not Monkfish, and Lobs up to either 75 and then Swordies to 80 with gloves, or just stick with Lobs until 80. But either way, sharks are great money once you can catch them fast enough.

That's not true, I tested sharks vs monks at 90 fishing.

 

 

 

You get 120k gp per hour at sharks

 

and 110k gp per hour at monks...

 

 

 

XP-wise ... 12k xp per hour at sharks

 

32k xp per hour at monks...

 

 

 

It's terribly unwise to ever fish sharks IMO though.

 

 

 

Lobster are better cash and xp than Tunas/swordies...

 

 

 

It's mainly a battle between Lobbies and Monks... I don't have the numbers for 62 fishing... but at 90 fishing Monks give more cash and XP than lobbies.

It doesn't matter because the 10k less you get in money is far more useless than the 20k extra experience you get from monks. You can fish monks for 20 minutes and tan hides and get the same experience as sharks and more money.... See what I mean?? So monks > sharks....

Monkfish are the best to catch for money starting at level 62.

Sharks are still 1k each, and they're still not worth it. Monkfish are the best for money as soon as you can catch them.

you could always do lobs till 70 then start barbarian fishing and sell the caviar you get from leaping sturgeon, they're worth 300gp or so last i checked and barbarian fishing is supposed to be one of the fastest way to raise fishing.

fastest way of fishing? i doubt that lol. i never tried leaping sturgeon but at shilo village trout and salmon fishing is the best xp by far. yea sturgeon are worth more but in shilo the banks right there. barb fishing you either have to climb up to the gnome tree and upstairs or go down the hill and bank at the minigame. im not mem anymore so can someone calc the difference in xp and money gained per hour with each? im so gonna hate myself if shilo doesnt win lol.. i trained from 60-8..whatever i have at that place :/

Heavy rod powerfishing is about 10k exp/hr faster in fishing, plus about 20k additional xp/hr in other skills. :P

 

 

 

You will make less money at heavy rod fishing than at Shilo if you value your time at less than about 180k gp/hr. Otherwise, the time you save is worth more than the profit you lose out on. Furthermore, if you actually do make less than 180k gp/hr, then the time you save at Shilo isn't worth the money you lose out on compared to catching monkfish, so either way you lose if you fly fish. :shame:

wow i lost out then... oh well that just means in less then a month of mem i could easily get 99 fishing+ have time to do otherstuff lol. i didnt do the xp/hour while i was at shilo but xp per day was calculated to where when i had to cancel my mem there was a month left of fishing there and id have the cape.

Whoevers trying to say fish lobs until this, then swordies until that, then fish monks at this level are wrong. Fish monks as soon as you can, and yes heavy rod fishing if fastest exp.

 

 

 

Also if prices havent changed much, sharks are faster cash at a higher level, havent checked prices in a while though.

 

99 fishing by the way.
