Some of you people seem to be forgetting that he's alching. You can't just browse tif while alching.

I don't know about you but I can XD (Ok so that might be using two computers, but... :P) - Browsing tif also works if you can fit the game/forum into two windows next to each other, but I guess that's just personal preference and dependant on set-up.

Hmmm, I don't want to leave a post without some form of contribution, and no one has said this yet... I don't know if there are any Runescape related Ventrillo or Teamspeak servers out there (chances are you will find one) But if you have a mic/don't mind talking you could join one of those; or any old server, and talk to some people :P

It really does just boil down to your personal preference, whether you want to do something out of game while alching, or simply take part in some other RS activity at the same time.

Either way, I wish you the best of luck and fun for the task :)

Good place to alch in pvp would be goutweed room, it's a hotspot and for people to reach you they first have to get past some trolls. Same thing for sorceress' garden (preferably autumn/summer, since autumn is the hardest and summer has the highest req.) That's no hotspot though.

Whack Sara spirit mages and warriors fighting Zamorak monsters in the main area of GWD with your staff

There are imps, too :o

Depending on your mouse if its an old ball and socket mouse take it the ball out and line up everything so all u have to do is click with out moving the mouse at all or if you have a optical mouse tip it upside down and hold it in your hand. Count about 5 seconds in your head after each double clip and you can watch tv while alching. Every few mins you might want to look up and make sure your still aching but it makes watchin tv very easy and your not autoing so you arnt breaking any rules.... other then that advise you can farm or watch pvp.

It's easy as hell to avoid pkers in hotspots. The method D Jay mentioned is great, and same with alching inside ardougne castle. It requires 76 or something thieving, cutting off most pkers right there. And after that, even if they do have the thieving level it takes quite a few tries to get in, easily giving you a chance to escape.

Apparently, my signature was to big.
