PVP update made them so pricy. Before PVP worlds, weapon poison++ was not a viable potion to make, like most potion it would yield a loss.

Seriously, though, this is a thread where the OP has already decided that they ARE going to alch. They just want suggestions of other things to do, not to be told that the basis of the thread is stupid. Constructive advice for the win, useless bashing for the loss.

 

 

 

Anyway, +1 to farming. Grow herbs and marigolds at the Falador patch, and Evil Turnip at the Draynor patch nearby. Good bonus profit is always nice, and you can make sure that nothing dies.

OT: If you're planning on having your full attention on rs while you play, you can either do what other people have said and/or do some npc trading. You can run/walk when you alch, so this helps with the cost of alching a little bit.

 

 

 

If you're planning on watching something on another screen/comp, I'd highly recommend using mouse keys. You can also get a number pad if you don't want to have to deal with an entire keyboard.

You were the one who said not to alch, that nightshades were a terrible idea (and you were then immediately proved wrong by another poster suggesting that they can get loads of high-end herblore experience off of collecting them, they just can't be immediately sold), and then you degenerated into ranting.

btw check the markets for enchant diamond/emerald bolts. when i did it [diamond] i gained 301.5k experience an hour and 250,000gp! =P~

 

 

 

 

 

farming herbs is good also, always nice to be there when they get diseased.

 

 

 

one time, i used an autoclicker, which i didn't mean to use :^o , and alched in zammy gwd. I came back and decided to get a kc of 40 because i friends were killing kril. I walk in and i alch in the corner of the boss room and occasionally slap kril with my staff. Always entertaining and mixes up the monotony of alching. (kinda scary when your risking mils of items). Had i stayed there longer, i would of gotten 100k! (split of spear).

 

 

 

btw auto clickers are bad, i have had up to 20 days worth of bans from them (because i could NOT stand the monotony of alching 25,000 longbows. even though some have eaten through 100,000 without any mental injury.)

My list of stuff I normally do to pass time, be it alching or not (some only work if you have a big enough screen or another one for that matter...):

 

 

 

- Watch a Movie

 

- Chill on tip.it

 

- Do your homework! :

 

- Go to some bank in PVP worlds and enjoy what happens outside.

 

- Go to one of those PVP related mini-games and enjoy the action. (Like dual-arena)

 

- Get in some farming xp (might as well level that tedious skill up when you can right? :P)

 

- Play another game at the same time (This might take some practice)

 

- Find some in-game friends, and go to the place they are skilling (like hunter locations?)

 

- Join and Chat in a CC or IRC

 

- Do some calculations for how much xp/money your making (You might not really want to do that one btw...)

 

 

 

Possibilities for what you can do are endless :D

Some of you people seem to be forgetting that he's alching. You can't just browse tif while alching.

 

 

 

I would suggest alching in pvp hotspots while also farming herbs.
