Xinxan
Hey there! I'm a regular user of both ToG and Penguin Points to raise my lowest skill. Which, in order to save a few geepees, i like to use on skills which cost money to raise. Question is, as im reaching "somewhat ok" levels on my lower skills, i want to use these on the most expensive skill, and raise the others from the following list through normal cash-burning training. The skills i think qualify to the description are: Herblore Summoning Prayer Construction Farming Also, if it's not much of a hassle, could you order them in terms of cost/xp. Thanks in advance. RayOxide
Order of expensive -> non expensive Summoning Pray Construct Herby Farmy Herby is break-free, just get your own secondaries. Farming? = Herbs. Summon is almost impossible to save money on. I dont need a siggy no moar.
mysafehome01
I would go for prayer as it is extremely tedious.
Lets_3ekout
Prayer is currently 95M buying dragon bones @ mid price and using on gilded altar with burners for level 99 (not including marentil prices, though they're not really high). I believe kent predicted 78M for 99 summon if you hunt waterfiends. My internet is capped atm so I can't check other prices, but I wouldn't be surprised if herb/con was more, or if farming trained to 99 with ONLY trees would be more (this would be extremely expensive). With gilded altars, prayer is faster, easier but more expensive than summoning. Summoning has the down side of charms, but with rapid xp when you DO have your charms. RayOxide
I hate when people try to predict, say, 70-99 by doing a method and predict the PRICE. Then again, summoning would be cheapest since you probably get enough drops to cover some of the charms or most of them. I dont need a siggy no moar. mysafehome01
To get 99 prayer through gilded alter you would need to level construction as well, adding to the cost.

mysafehome01
Well since i started playing again i have never used construction, i just assumed it was part of it from looking at screenshots and other convos. Any info would be nice.

Xinxan
Thanks for all the quickness on the replys. Farming is not the most pressing issue, as i have it quite higher than the rest on the list, just added it in order to compare with the others, although i have a reasonable figure about farming. Also, i'm always getting more herbs from farming, but since i could be making cash by selling them, it's always a potential cost that should be accounted to Herblore. Construction is a skill i feel done with - i do have a gilded altar in my house, tea + crystal saw did the trick - although i'll raise it higher if it's not the most expensive. As for Prayer, I wouldn't have thought it was actually more expensive than summoning even though if the choice is between these 2, i'd go for raising prayer the hard way. Summoning is harder to raise due to charms, and the longer i save them, the better the xp i'll get from my stock of charms.
llVIU
Construction 10-20 gp per 1 exp (depends how you do it) Herblore 8-10 gp per 1 exp Prayer 5-12 gp per 1 exp (depends if POH or ectophial) Summoning I don't know, I haven't tried it Farming I don't know the how the farming of tree goes, I actually gained a lot of profit making herbs Goal: getting all skills to
Kellis
Advice: World 31 Yanille. Nice job wasting three posts without actually bothering to explain why the construction level isn't necessary. . . . . Anyway, in world 31 people with high Construction levels have house parties in Yanille, and allow others to come visit their house and ooh and aah over the fanciness. You can go in and use their altar to get the maximum prayer experience without having to build your own altar.
ilovecardj
not having your own altar to 99 pray is adding like 50+ hours of wasted time. running to the bank and back and typing in the players house. then waiting for him if he isnt there etc. its ok doing that to 70 pray i guess, but for 99 you really really REALLY should have your own altar. I think herb is more expensive tbh Dragon Drops: 80+ boots, 7 med, 3 skirt, 2 left half, 2 Spear, 2 2hSlayer: 30+ whips, 4 Bows, 1 Mask, 3 Granite Legs, 1 Visage (Wyverns)Notable GWD Splits: Bandos Tassets: 12, Bandos Chest: 11, Bandos Hilt: 2Proud Slayer of 99 Att/Str/Def/HP/Range/Summoning
wioneo
I'm pretty sure that construction is the most expensive followed by prayer and then summoning. Herblore and farming are affected by a lot of things. You said you don't really want more construction levels, aye? So I would either dump the extra xp into prayer until level 76(for an extra point from rpayer pots) or just get summoning up to a levelt hat you're happy with. ladycai
I'll say Con -> Herby -> Prayer -> Summ Summoning only for the reason of shards. If you add farming in there, you might as well add smithing for the gold ores to bars  :? 95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]

Xinxan
As i'm seeing many different opinions on the matter, i'd now ask which skill (can be other than the ones offered, such as Slayer or Runecrafting) do you think more worthwhile to get ToG'ed. Also. i´d rather you answer the question in general, and not aplied to my case. Even though i apreciated Wioneo's reply about Prayer (i wasn't aware of that, and may influence me in raising the skill for that), i'm also interested in the discussion value of this topic. mysafehome01
Depends what you want to do really. I personally would go for prayer as i hate levelling it and use prayer alot for combat.
Zierro
Depends on the approach of how you train them. Prayer can easily be the most expensive if using the bones that give the most Xp in the game. Construction can be the most expensive if you build using mahogany. Or it can be Summoning if you plan on bursting to get your charms. On average, I'd say people put most of their money with Construction, because by raising your level you will be tempted to buy those cool expensive things for your house. It's a money sink.
