Blutters
This is a problem I've had for a while and has gradually been getting worse. In threads in which many people with pictures in their signatures or avatars or posts pictures the pictures don't all load. Instead, it says "Image" in plain text and if I want to see the pictures I have to keep clicking refresh, hoping that they finally show up. The same occasionally happens to YouTube videos that have been posted, except that instead of "Image" or something similar, they just appear as a large blank space. I am using FireFox. I looked to see if there was already a thread detailing a fix for this problem but didn't see any. If there is, please post a link and accept my sincerest apologies. InkofDeath
Use Chrome or IE (lol) to see if the problem is the same on those browsers. Don't important your settings from firefox onto these browsers either. Easy check is find a page where images don't load, copy the url and put it into the other browser, and see if the image loads. Another thing is to check what your security tab is at in FireFox and what Firefox is allowing to be shown. You should check in Tools > Options > Tabs: Content; Security & Privacy. If something is turned off, or is uncheckmarked it probably wouldn't hurt to say what ones aren't checked, or the ones that are checked that disable something. After that check what your firewall is doing and allowing. -- If you've done those and the problem is only special to FF just re-download it, with or without taking your settings with you. sloter
Could try clearing your cache and cookies. I would thing it would be that you can't access image shack or photo bucket as that seems to be where alot of people here store there images. Blutters
Just tried IE. The problem persists as before, except they're now red X's instead of "Image". It's the same deal, though - they will eventually show up if I keep refreshing the page. That, to me, says that it's probably something to do with memory rather than security settings, although if I knew how to fix this I wouldn't be posting here... :| I don't even know how to clear the cache or cookies... EDIT: Just cleared cookies, and looked at the sticky in General for posting screenshots, videos, sounds. Still several not loading on first try... It's like my computer just gives up or something. sloter
Try going to this site. Does that site load? What about this one?
Blutters
Yes, they both load. They're not blocked. The images hosted by them seem to be randomly chosen to load, though, which is my problem - I'd like to get all images to load on the first try... sloter
Get the link of those images and find out who is hosting them?
Blutters
I always use TinyPic. Most people in the screenshots thread use the two you listed, ImageShack and Photobucket. It seems like we are going around in circles...
Resonae
Does it say "Done" when the pictures aren't loaded? If not, thats connection issues. Happens to me a lot :x MR. OCTOPUS BEARD DISAGREES! Blutters
Yes, it does. So you don't know how to fix it, then? At the worst of times my own signature doesn't even load...
Sam
Sometimes when you right click on an image you can accidentally block the source link. I'm sure there is a way to view anything you've blocked on Firefox, but I've forgotten because I've used Chrome/Safari for the last few months. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM

I don't think that can be the case, because the pictures will eventually load if I refresh the page enough times. Also, it happens randomly, which would indicate that the source (I assume you mean hosting site) doesn't matter.

VARN
Since IE is behaving just as Firefox Just tried IE. The problem persists as before and the two browsers do not share cache I suggested Java since they both share it.

Dracion1
:wall: You don't even need Java to look at images. It's most likely a connection problem if it affects both browsers. RSBDavid
if it just shows it has to do with your board settings I believe. I set mine to ot show imiages since I have dial up. Try going to your board preferneces and looking for a thing that says "Show images in posts". As I've already said: Some images will load but others won't, and it seems random in which ones it displays. I went and checked my preferences anyway and images are allowed.
