AGAIN: is the 7.5k firemaking xp etc that 3HitU talked about re-obtainable each day?!

 

 

 

This quest was released less than 24 hours ago, do you really think anyone who's not from Jagex knows it?

 

 

 

The xp from the daily task doesn't look that attractive now that they have nerfed the summoning xp of the pouch. I'm more interested in the lava guardians' drops, they seem to have a rather nice charm drop rate.

 

 

 

 

 

Yes it is. The Phoenix event resets at 12.00am GMT (UK Midnight).

 

 

 

I did the event right after the quest to get a total of 10 quills, and I just did it for 5 more. And another 7.5k firemaking xp <3

If one single Jagex Employee would of ran through the new Phoenix cavern with a familiar, they would of realized the familiar disappear when it chases after the lava monsters that teleport. Seeing as, this glitch is still here and it happens quit frequently, I have evidence to say Jagex does not play their own game.

I remember that happening to me when the tz-ket-dll quest came out.

 

I just think they havent found out how to fix it yet.

When I was fighting the phoenix, I kept noticing my attack and ranging stats were halved for about 10 seconds, then restore to max, then halved again after about 10 seconds. At first I thought it was a bug, but then after defeating and resurrecting the phoenix, we had a little chat. The phoenix said its summon can conjure up ashes to temporarily blind their opponents. So I am assuming the pouch can halve your opponents' attack and range levels as well. Could this be helpful in pvp situations such as clan wars etc?

 

You are my hero, when I noticed my attack was 45 instead of 89 I didn't know how the heck it happened. Did not realise it went back up on its own, I used restore in my panic.

I recently finished this quest today, but it ruined my Firemaking experience which was exactly 13,042,000 so it encouraged me to get 13,100,000 which I eventually accomplished later today. I guess it isn't a bad thing! : It looks cooler on the highscores now, after all. :lol:

There is a link to video of somebody getting lost and getting a Phoenix egg/pet. Apparently when you have the pet and talk to the Phoenix you can talk about the egg, people have said that the new dialogue hints at 1/1000 chance of getting the egg but of course it could be a rumour.

what about drops from the new monsters?

Some people are wayy too lucky , getting the egg first time :(

It's not impossible at all. Lamps, experience books, penguin points. There are lvl 16's with 68 summoning...

Ive seen a fully grown phoenix today. Someone was lucky :o

That was before the update when you had to deal the final blow to the monster, negate the ring of recoil method previously used by skillers.
