Myweponsg00d
Ugh. You guys should have voted for the mammoth. Then we'd have gotten a quest were you aid an outwardly harsh, but actually kind mammoth, a clumsy, wisecracking sloth, and a double agent Kyatt who has a change of heart bring a Fremminik infant, over the icy northern tundra, back to his worried clan. Wow. This post should be forever saved in the hard drives of the interwebs. Need assistance in any of these skills? asianboy7o7
I HAVE PROOF JAGEX DOESN'T PLAY THEIR OWN GAME!!! If one single Jagex Employee would of ran through the new Phoenix cavern with a familiar, they would of realized the familiar disappear when it chases after the lava monsters that teleport. Seeing as, this glitch is still here and it happens quit frequently, I have evidence to say Jagex does not play their own game. END. Oh shut the hell up. Its the first day it the update came out. You write the java code to fix it. ... Oh right, you CAN'T! Submit a bug report, shut up, and GTFO back to the RSOF. Eh, still though, QA or bug testers should've caught it. Bit off topic but: When leaving Bork's cave ,in many cases, your familiar is gone too. QA still didn't fix this, so be prepared for a long wait..... random events also steal familiars and logging out and back in brings them back
Big_Stingman
So to my understanding, after you kill the phoenix, everytime you click on the escape cave, you have a small chance of finding an egg? I watched that vid someone posted, and there were tons of eggs, how do you get there?

Mercifull
btw guys the feathers are tradeable =D worth like 2-3k each \Now that the exp has been nerfed, expect that price to drop dramatically. When you factor in the cost of the quill it equates to 15.03 gp per exp after swapping shards with Bogrog. This is in comparison to 4.16 for a Granite lobster. Kenneh
Feathers aren't worth it now. They were when the pouches were 613xp each, now that it's around 1/2 that, it just isn't worth the money to use them to train.
Lets_3ekout
What I don't get is why the nerf was needed? Seriously? Why hasn't the talon beast, which give 1k+ summoning xp (highest in game) while requiring a low summoning level, not been nerfed? Secondaries. I can get more talon beast charms per day then feathers. While it's true I could buy feathers, that would only be for a VERY select few people who are rolling in cash and then some. Jagex has taken away both the appeal and profit away from a D&D that had a lot of potential for no reason. Jagex has taken away both the appeal and profit away from a D&D that had a lot of potential for no reason. The only reason I can see for nerfing the exp element of the Phoenix is that its a powerful familiar to use in combat situations and Jagex would rather people use it in battle and not use it for training summoning and thus creating millions of unused pouches. Ollyc3
In the recent updates forum on RSOF, there is a sticky regarding the new quest. One of the Q&A's there clears up the 1/1000 rumour of getting the Phoenix event. - "The phoenix said the chance of an egg becoming fertile was 1 in 1000. Is this the chance I have of getting the event?" No. The phoenix was referring to the chance of an egg becoming magically fertile, not your chance of finding one such egg within her lair. This phoenix has been around for a long time, and there are quite a few potentially fertile eggs. Your chance of getting the event is not 1 in 1000; it is significantly higher. To prevent further confusion, this line has been altered in the phoenix's chat. 2376/2376 total achieved - May 2009 Retired Dec 2009
Kimberly
Now that the exp has been nerfed, expect that price to drop dramatically. I dunno, I think they'll level off at 4-5k. They've been going up for 3 days straight now. On another note, third attempt at this D&D...no egg yet. I want an angry chick :(

I was like "why would you want an angry chick (as in girl)... oh wait." I still haven't taken the 5 minutes it takes to get this done even though the rewards are amazing... shows how lazy I am -.- Started free trade with 1.5m cash. 2 weeks later, have hit max cash 2x. jesterotr
win \ [hide=look!][/hide] That is an awesome pic! It just convinced me to get an angry pet if I get the chance. People have been saying it isn't worth it to get the feathers now that the exp is nerfed and it takes too long to get to the end. Instead of rushing to the end , today I took a different approach. I noticed that the reborns don't respawn when you kill them so I am going throught the five levels and killing every single one. I don't expect anything different, just a little personal challenge. I'm in the fourth cave and I lost my bunyip in the first lol. Jesterotr
