Then an arcade tournament came to my city, and they had it. I rushed over immeditly. I must say, it is an amazing game. I'm shocked Capcom could put together such an amazing game. So I pre-ordered it. Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Arcade and Microsoft Windows. What interests me is that there is a "trial" mode, which walks you through learning the various combos in game and then moves you up to the harder ideas. Posted January 16, 2009 Share Posted January 16, 2009 I love the street fighter series :D My overall opinion on it will be based on me playing it, not on reviews or watching it online though I must admit, it looks pretty smooth. I'm pressing my brother to preorder, street fighter runs through our whole family. I would also recommend Street Fighter 2 HD Remix. I downloaded it both for the 360 and the PS3 and both are incredibly fun to play. I got it the other day and I have to say, as someone with very little previous street fighter experience, I am loving it. While I'm sticking to offline for now to hone my skills the games combat is incredibly smooth, and the visuals and art direction is amazing. Really one of the best fighting games I've played. My only beef is that the CPU can be incredibly whorish when it comes to spamming a certain combo. Seth loves to do his heavy punch (which is the stretchy arms) and just spam it. :lol: Anyways what character(s) are you guys mostly playing? I finally unlocked Akuma today and I think I'm going to really try and get good at him. I've had some pretty lucky (and just badass) things happen with him, including teleporting on the otherside of Ryu's ultimate attack in a fight against the CPU. The dpad is pretty [cabbage]ty but, in all honesty, the analog stick works well. With the exception of a few moves (mostly where you make a Z kind of movement on the stick) I can land them fairly constantly so far. How is it costing you $80 btw? Canada land I assume? My gamertag is Nadril btw (yeah big surprise). Only thing I should tell you all is I don't have a headset, no idea where it is. Also I've been getting better at Rufus now :thumbup: . As far as unlocks go I just have Gouken and Seth to unlock. Taking a break from arcade because fighting Seth no matter what difficulty level sucks haha. Ryu took me ages to beat him, Ken, ran out of time and my health bar was about a pixel width more than his, and beat him with sagat first time :evil: . Currently I'm sitting between 200-400, although I hit a high of 511 the other day before going on a losing streak. The game still has a lot of people starting out new though I think, so I'm getting my [wagon] handed to me now and then by guys who should be ranked higher. :P However I've learned a lot online so far, even some combos. Right now the easiest one was a sure fire way to get off Rufus's ultra. Just do a focus attack and cancel it into the finisher. I can do the Cannon Drill and the back hand slap but when it comes to this other move I belive Cannon [bleep]e .. I cant do it. BTW Nad do you have it on 360? If so do you want a game?
