The_dmt1234
i've heard 83 is good for d boots, but if you're just training apparently it's not that good...ever there is a big arguement HERE ]
jade_slayer6
Well... The assorted rune armor drops can add up. But once you get to gargoyles they drop granite mauls(115K), rune full helms and adamant boots. Pretty much every monster after that has pretty good drops. cat666
Slayer isn't a cash cow anymore. However you will break even from 75 and even profit most tasks. Won't be a lot though, 50-60k. Make sure you: Pick up coins Alch anything worth more than a nature rune. Use a BoB to take more loot home if need be. Do all clue scrolls. I was able to start cannoning certain tasks from 85 without loosing in the grand scheme of things. Trust the Gene Genie!

obfuscator
Gargoyles are 75. As others have said, slayer is not amazing profit. I find it to be fairly steady, making 50-100k per task. At 260 tasks done, it does add up. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti

Another thing I might add is you can use the death runes for bursting. If you want to train summoning, your burst cost will be significantly less not having to buy the death runes. langer
I always though slayer started to get interesting when you it 60. Aberrant specters have nice loots (herbs and herb seeds), at 65 you have dust devils (alchables, herbs, gems and crimsons), 75 gargoyles (alchables, pure ess, maul, mystic top and blue charms), 80 nechryeals (herb seeds, rune boots, charms and alchables), 83 spiritual mages (pure ess, d boots) 85 Abbyssal Demons (whip, alchables, charms, pure ess and herbs) and 90 dark beasts (d bows, alchables, best blue charms dropper for slayer and rune ore with 85 mining). Slayer is around 80k profit per hour at mid levels, but gets a bit higher than that when you have unlocked all monsters and do not piety and cannon all tasks. zotto
Profits also are correlated to combat level. Technically I am still doing the same stuff as when I was lvl 85 slayer. Yet I make much more money per week. It's mostly due to increase in speed with higher combat, and reduced costs. For instance I actually don't even use prayer pots any more at the black demons. Slayer not only allows you to access some of the best item dropping (non-boss) monsters, but its also a much more fun way of training combat in general. If you want good loot you can do aviansies or green drags too. Okay, one whip every 4 hours is more exciting that 2M of loot at aviansies during those 4 hours, but in the end, those aviansies are more profitable. If you want to melee, try green drags. If you want quick xp, try armoured zombies. only thing I agree in is fun. That's why I train it. But I know it's not the most efficient way of training/gaining money. kdb148
Ironically, banshees are probably the most profitable slayer monster to kill. So if money is your bag, no need to train it past level 15. Although the ability to use slayer dart makes getting to level 55 very useful as well. Check out this cool browser gladiator game!
