January 29, 200917 yr Basically, I was just thinking perhaps it could be possible if there was a "hidden" skill which you can get up through multiple methods. (Basically based around theiving) Eg. 80 Theiving + 80 Range = Shooting 2 arrows at the same time? (just an Idea) So, what skills use the hands? Theiving? Range? Attack? Herblore? Most of them huh? Ofcourse there would be no true way to get 99 dexterity as it is based off a range of skills. So how could a certain skill benefit with their dextrous skills? Well some ideas I can think off the top of my head would be *ahem* Fletching without knives? (Fletching + Thieving) Dual weilding weapons? (Attack + Thieving) Multiple arrows fired at once? (Ranging + Thieving) Unstringing bows? (Will not receive any xp for restringing an "unstrung bow", Fletching + Theiving) Weilding weapons on other hand? (High attack) Gring stuff with finger (requires high strength + High herblore + High Theiving) Dual shields (High Def, for the lulz...) Just some ideas... Post your thoughts (if anyone has a better idea, Please post) Luck be a Lady

January 31, 200917 yr Why not do like you only can dual wield some weapons, like non-poisoned daggers and shortswords and they only boost the attack stat, but don't give second attack.

January 31, 200917 yr Or just reduce the damage of the second weapon by 50%/75% and have only one special bar.
February 6, 200917 yr Fletching without knives? (Fletching + Thieving) Iv always wanted to be Edward Scissorhands.

Because dual wielding 2 handed weapons makes sense in the first place, doesn't it? It does if you're a Machamp  You should probably remove the "poorly thought out" part from the title-it might drive a few people away. Definitely a no on the dual-wielding, although I understand it's only an idea. ~It's Super Effective! February 7, 200917 yr Gud tanking. And awesome editing skills... :D And as you can see, we've been dual-wielding gloves and boots all along.

Many believe that the 1980 eruption of Mt. Saint Helens was a catostrophic geological event, in reality it was the day that Jimi Hendrix returned to Earth from the next world and actually stood up next to a mountain and chopped it down with the edge of his hand.-Random Youtuber
February 19, 200917 yr dual weapons could work, but it probably needs some tweaking. Maybe the 2nd wep only does 1.5 times damage (for shield is defence of 1.5x) and they attack at 1.5 times the speed(NA for shield) not two times. after all, you have to be concentrate more to use two weapons fast. There would probably only be one spec bar AND powerful weps like whips cannot to be dualed. Also scims and some crap like that should be nerfed or else they would be far too powerful. 2h weps also have to be upgraded to keep up with the dual weps. EDIT: i thought of a new idea for dexterity. It would affect the dodge chance you have, replacing defence. The new defence would be your "Dmg resistance". RIght now, strength has no counter so it would balance it out. Click here for an awesome suggestion to revive smithing!
February 20, 200917 yr Double wielding COULD be done, but only if... - You cant dual wield two-handed swords. - You cant use special attacks. - You can attack twice in 1 turn. - The second weapon only has half bonuses. It could be made by having 2 weapons in your inventory, and right-clicking 'Dual-wield', and then selecting another weapon. ;) Proud owner of the Quest Cape since 31/08Quest suggestion: The Shadow of a Delver

February 25, 200917 yr Maybe the 2nd wep only does 1.5 times damage Do you have any idea what 1.5 times damage means? EDIT: i thought of a new idea for dexterity. It would affect the dodge chance you have, replacing defence. The new defence would be your "Dmg resistance". RIght now, strength has no counter so it would balance it out. Strength has no balance? It's called defence. And dodging attacks is not a new idea, let me tell you that. That's what defence does, blocks attacks. On topic... These ideas don't make a whole lot of sense... Why does theiving give you two weapons, or more arrows shot, or fletching without knives? Theives don't fight, and they don't have... b]knifehands[/b]... Though dual weilding could work... But there's absolutely no need for it. February 25, 200917 yr Author but thieves are generally more dextrous with their hands, thats sort of why its to do with theiving... Luck be a Lady

But there's absolutely no need for it. Made a mistake-should be 75% damage each. STRENGTH is how high you hit for god's sake. attack is how accurate you are. defence lowers opponent's accuracy when they hit you I dont see what lowers strength. There is a need for dual wielding(btw its wielding not weilding), it allows fast attacks but at lower damage and sacrifice of defence. Also, if you dual wield, there would be no special attacks allowed(8 ddp++ specs?). Click here for an awesome suggestion to revive smithing!
