I really don't see why merchanters buy out partyhats when doing so only nets you 1% each day while every other item out there can get them 5%. 1% of something is better than 5% of nothing. Yep, especially given the fact that 5% of 1m = 20k , and that 1% of 100m well, duh, 1m. Cant compare percentages on items of completly different price ranges. You're wrong. Yeah 5% of 1m = 20k. And yeah 1% of 100m = 1m. So what? Doesn't that mean you can buy 100 of the items at 1m when you can only buy 1 of the item at 100m? So either way you SPEND 100m, regardless of quantity. You can only get 1% of that one item at 100m, but you can get 5% of 1m ONE HUNDRED TIMES. That's 5m, which is 4m profit. Frankly I see this as a bump, but I might use it as an excuse just to buy a partyhat for the hell of it. I'll probably end up flipping a coin or something. ~It's Super Effective! Ezz Posted February 4, 2009 Share Posted February 4, 2009 I suspect the reason the clans buy up partyhats is because they then sell it for about the same value of what they bought it, plus an item like 3rd age or a few opulent tables, so they basically buy purple/yellows up to be able to get basically free opulent tables or 3rd age (not much 3rd age was traded this time though). Anyways, I sold my yellow for cash + 7 opulent tables, so I'm happy :) And from looking at the forums, it looks like they're back to crashing. This is basically one thing many don't think of immedietly. Yes they are being merched right now. The merchants could dump and gain cash, or make about what they paid (more or less), and get the high street items for ge price, easily.
