louiellen
There is no safe car brand for a reckless driver. Same goes with a web browser, there's no safe browser for a careless user. dsavi
Chrome is being ported. My guess is that when they port it, they're going to port it properly. Or then there's Chromium.

InfamousDuck
I had the exact same problem of logging in, I solved it though pretty simple. Go to tools>options>privacy>show cookies and then just remove forum.tip.it. Problem solved. dsavi
There are a whole array of reasons that Firefox could be acting slower, starting with having way too many addons. If it really goes bad just reinstall it.
Kaphias
I'll take my Netscape 6.0 any day, thank you very much. Seriously? It's been years since I used Netscape. I remember back when that was the major browser for Mac, and before that... when Internet Explorer shipped with Mac. Now that Apple finally got around to making a browser of their own, I use that (Safari). Firefox is nice though, I just need the Mac look that Safari has. 8,325th to 99 Firemaking 3/9/08 | 44,811th to 99 Cooking 7/16/084,968th to 99 Farming 10/9/09 | Runescaper August 2005-March 2010Tip.it Mod Feb. 2008-Sep. 2008 | Tip.it Crew Sep. 2008-Nov. 2009
dsavi
FF3 has quite the mac look IMO... And I think that about NN6 was a joke. I have NN9 for testing purposes, which is unsupported now. NN6 came out what, 10 years ago?
Jernlov
There are a whole array of reasons that Firefox could be acting slower, starting with having way too many addons. If it really goes bad just reinstall it.I don't have the patience to run through all the issues it could be. I switched over to Opera and have used that ever since. Also, I never used more than 2/3 addons, and on my last install on my old PC I had none. Firefox just isn't really optimised for computers with older hardware from my experience. Scrolling was lagging and I was inputting text faster than the browser could register it - which wasn't really fast at all. Gandalf14141
Meh, it's just a preference. You CAN tweak firefox so the speed is faster but meh, not much different. Oh yeah, one thing about IE was that major security flaw or something. [hide=Making FF faster]Open Firefox 1.0(Any version works) and in the address bar type: about:config 1. Find network.http.pipelining and double click on it so it = true 2. Find network.http.pipelining.maxrequests double click on it and change it from 4 to 100 What do these changes do? 1. This enables option #3. 2. This makes FF use 8 threads to each page.. Bascially, if you thought FF was fast before, try it after this.[/hide] Finally on here to update that I have officially quit!
