I have been slaying Dagganoths for the last day or so in the Waterbirth Dungeon. I don't own a cannon (and don't really want to) and other than just bringing bunches of prayer potions and a little food I can't think of a better way to handle it...it's taking a long time, though. How can I speed up a task of over 100 of those tough guys?

you can either cannon the ones in lighthouse (horror from the deep)

 

 

 

or kill them in chaos tunnels with prayer potions (best pray gear+range pray)

I just go and slaughter them under the lighthouse without a cannon, usually I can get quite a large group to myself.

Well you can go to the Chaos Tunnel for some extra crimson and money. The money made also seems to pay for prayer pots as long as you alch the swords/ shields / regular fremmy helms and sell the archer/farseer/berserker helms on the Grand Exchange.

 

 

 

The ones under the lighthouse are good for golds and take almost no attention to do.

On a related note, is there a world where people attempt the Dag Kings in groups? I know there isn't a special world, but is there an unofficial one?

CT with prayer is very fast, i killed like 300(2 tasks in a row) in 2 hours or so...

CT with prayer if you don't have a cannon. Otherwise go to the lighthouse with a cannon

I apologize, I should have been more clear. I was hoping for more suggestions than just yours (too many mentioned cannon).

I always just use full Torags, whip and rune defender. Been so long now since I have even trained combat, but I don't think I pray against them, but my combat stats are a bit higher than yours. I pretty sure I was using sharks though. I do remember them being pretty tough even with my higher combat stats, and the fact I was using no prayer. But I was getting a full inventory of drops. If I can get a full inventory of drops using sharks, it makes sense to me to just eat instead of praying.

 

 

 

I suppose what you are doing at the moment is as good as any unless someone has good suggestions on ranging or maging them.

2 options.

 

 

 

Best one being cannon under the lighthouse. I know you don't like the idea, but the task is over in 15-20 minutes. You lose a little cash but it's nothing major.

 

 

 

Other option is prayer in the Chaos Tunnels. Wear prayer gear, protect range and kill. They drop a fair bit of stuff and you will profit here.

Of course with a bit better stats you can afk them under the lighthouse wearing some decent armour.

 

 

 

So see it all as a temporary problem.

Just kill the ones under the lighthouse with no cannon. Your stats aren't very high, and the waterbirth/chaos tunnel ones are a lot stronger.
