Is it impossible for a slayer master to assign a monster that you cannot yet slay or would I have to be wary of having to have the correct level in case some slayer master assigned a monster I couldn't fight (and have to burthrope if I didn't have 30 points)?

why would duradel give spirit mages to a lvl 50 slayer makes no sense

The slayer tasks you get are based on what combat you are, what your slayer level is, and what areas you have unlocked.

 

 

 

Therefore someone cannot get a very high leveled task at a low combat, or something they cannot reach and/or kill because of their slayer is too low.

Nope they only assign ones you can kill. Either you have the slayer level, or are able to reach them (i.e. quest, or barb training), i have heard of someone getting a ghoul task and not have done Priest in Peril yet

Well for the DD thing it might have something with them being in the Chaos Tunnels so you have access to them there. As for the mith drags idk but i havent done barb training so i dont get them as tasks.

They only give u ones u can kill and that you have the slayer lvl for. You probably wouldn't get kbd's at lvl 3.

No one gets kbd as a task, but you do get Black dragons as task and kbd's count towards that

The tasks depends at your slayer level and quests you have completed.

You don't get mithril dragons unless you are about 125 combat. You will not get appropriate monsters if you have not finish the quest that unlocks them. (e.g. Warped Terrorbird for Path of Glouphrie.)

sure, but I have been running past them for months before I got a dust devil task. And now I suddenly get them all the time.

I don't think you need a quest to get the dusty key, you just need to kill a jailer and free the prisioner right? so there is no quest really for that. And if you did watchtower too or heroes like SportsGuy said, you can kill them there too.

You don't need a quest to go kill black demons.
