aspeeder
Well, this is a long term goal of mine, mostly for the acheivment diaries, piety, and so my friend can stop lording it over me -.- . From what I read on one of my other posts, from my level that would be about 3-4 mil using a PoH. My question is, is that with or without burners, and are burners worth the time/money? Thanks a bunch http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww6/aspeeder/Siggy_zpsewaiux2t.png 99 Strength since 6/02/10 99 Attack since 9/19/10 99 Constitution since 10/03/10 99 Defense since 3/14/11 99 Slayer since 8/30/11 99 Summoning since 9/10/11 99 Ranged since 09/18/11 99 Magic since 11/12/11 99 Prayer since 11/15/11 99 Herblore since 3/29/12 99 Firemaking since 5/15/12 99 Smithing since 10/04/12 99 Crafting since 9/16/13 99 Agility since 9/23/13 99 Dungeoneering since 1/1/14 99 Fishing since 2/4/14 99 Mining since 2/28/14 99 Farming since 6/04/14 99 Cooking since 6/11/14 99 Runecrafting since 10/10/14 9 Fletching since 11/11/14 99 Thieving since 11/14/14 99 Woodcutting since 11/20/14 99 Construction since 12/03/14 99 Divination since 2/22/15 99 Hunter since 2/23/15 99 Invention since 01/20/17 99 Archaeology since 5/14/22 99 Necromancy since 11/22/25 Quest Point Cape since 08/20/09 Maxed since 2/23/15 Fire Cape since 02/27/13 Slayer: 3 Leaf-Bladed Swords, 8 Black Masks, 2 Hexcrests, 26 Granite Mauls, 5 Focus Sights, 33 Abyssal Whips, 9 Dark Bows, 1 Whip Vine, 3 Staffs of Light, 15 Polypore Sticks Dragon: 10 Draconic Visages, 7 Shield Left Halves, 20 Dragon Boots, 40 Dragon Med Helms, 8 Dragon Platelegs, 6 Dragon Spears, 20 Dragon Daggers, 5 Dragon Plateskirts, 1 Dragon Chainbody, 63 Off-hand Dragon Throwing Axes, 19 Dragon Longswords, 27 Dragon Maces, 1 Dragon Ward Treasure Trails: Saradomin Full Helm, Ranger Boots, Rune Body (t), Saradomin Vambraces, Various God Pages Misc:1 Onyx,1 Ahrim's Hood, 1 Guthan's Chainskirt, 1 Demon Slayer Boots

hatebringer
burners are definitely worth it. If you don't use them, your going to need 10-20% more bones since the exp is lower, and since its 70 pray, that can come out to quite a bit. If you have the gilded altar in your house, just bring 2 herbs each trip, and it doesn't really drag down anything exp wise, not to mention if your speed training, so you tele to house, then to edge etc. 99 Fletching 99 Attack 99 Constitution 99 Cooking 99 StrengthGamertag: H8tebringer
bronzewarrior
burners add an extra 50% (or something) to the exp gain. so you should always have them lit. BOTH burners should be lit before bones are used. it should be around 3.2m from lvl 61 (when i did it) so it should be a little less for you. 2nd troll to 840+ post count. aspeeder
Ok, been looking around and I relise that altars cannot be flatpacked, so then i assume the method is to use a friends house with a gilded alter? Im assuming that the best option is Yanille, but how do most players do this? http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww6/aspeeder/Siggy_zpsewaiux2t.png 99 Strength since 6/02/10 99 Attack since 9/19/10 99 Constitution since 10/03/10 99 Defense since 3/14/11 99 Slayer since 8/30/11 99 Summoning since 9/10/11 99 Ranged since 09/18/11 99 Magic since 11/12/11 99 Prayer since 11/15/11 99 Herblore since 3/29/12 99 Firemaking since 5/15/12 99 Smithing since 10/04/12 99 Crafting since 9/16/13 99 Agility since 9/23/13 99 Dungeoneering since 1/1/14 99 Fishing since 2/4/14 99 Mining since 2/28/14 99 Farming since 6/04/14 99 Cooking since 6/11/14 99 Runecrafting since 10/10/14 9 Fletching since 11/11/14 99 Thieving since 11/14/14 99 Woodcutting since 11/20/14 99 Construction since 12/03/14 99 Divination since 2/22/15 99 Hunter since 2/23/15 99 Invention since 01/20/17 99 Archaeology since 5/14/22 99 Necromancy since 11/22/25 Quest Point Cape since 08/20/09 Maxed since 2/23/15 Fire Cape since 02/27/13 Slayer: 3 Leaf-Bladed Swords, 8 Black Masks, 2 Hexcrests, 26 Granite Mauls, 5 Focus Sights, 33 Abyssal Whips, 9 Dark Bows, 1 Whip Vine, 3 Staffs of Light, 15 Polypore Sticks Dragon: 10 Draconic Visages, 7 Shield Left Halves, 20 Dragon Boots, 40 Dragon Med Helms, 8 Dragon Platelegs, 6 Dragon Spears, 20 Dragon Daggers, 5 Dragon Plateskirts, 1 Dragon Chainbody, 63 Off-hand Dragon Throwing Axes, 19 Dragon Longswords, 27 Dragon Maces, 1 Dragon Ward Treasure Trails: Saradomin Full Helm, Ranger Boots, Rune Body (t), Saradomin Vambraces, Various God Pages Misc:1 Onyx,1 Ahrim's Hood, 1 Guthan's Chainskirt, 1 Demon Slayer Boots
Tesset
World 31 will almost always find you a gilded altar. Just check yanille first, and if there isn't one there, use rimmington. It's quite a bit slower there, but I still got from 66-70 in about an hour that way. My skin is finally getting softI'll scrub until the damn thing comes off
F0TH
Just go on to the RSOF. Go on to the events sub-forum. There are always open guilded alters there. Easy peasy. Best of luck.

Im assuming that the best option is Yanille, but how do most players do this? The fastest option is actually to have the friend put their house in Pollnivneach, and teleport there with a slayer ring. Or use your own house--with a crystal saw and gilded tea, you can build a gilded altar with 69 construction. UnknownRemoval
Hehe, A few days ago I spent 3.4M on the bones for 61-70. Currently at 66. : (Fail) Retired Crew Member | Retired RuneScape Player
Vulxai
Check the RSOF (I think under the events section) and there is almost always someone advertising an open house or open altar. You can go use their houses to get 70 pray, that's what I did. You might have to switch a few times though, I think from about 60-70, I changed houses about 6 or 7 times. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
pureprayer
Is it worth it to spend all your money to get from 62-70 prayer? (sorry to thread jack) Pureprayer, you're awesome.
Vulxai
Is it worth it to spend all your money to get from 62-70 prayer? (sorry to thread jack) Personally, I say no. I don't think anything's worth spending all of your money on. I'd always recommend leaving at least 1-2m, so you have at least some to play with. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~

Bashful
if its a long term goal.. just spend your penguin points on it, unless you're currently spending it on something else that you value more.
cat666
High level people who train prayer open there altars for the public as it makes it faster. If someone is in your house then it takes a shorter time to load each trip. Search the RSOF for people with open houses. As for method, someone will usually be keeping the burners lit. No harm in bringing your own marras/tinderbox just in case, especially if you are using a War Tortoise. Wear light gear and use the best BoB you can. Usually my burners run out just after the time I've done an inventory/tortoises inventory. Is 70 prayer worth it? Yes. In fact it isn't enough. 80 is recommended these days, and being 80 I want 85-90. However it honestly isn't worth wasting your entire cash-flow on. Make some cash for it first, you never know when you are going to need extra cash so leave a buffer. My goal of 85 prayer is due soon (as soon as I hit 95 def) and it's going to set me back 13mil. So I do understand your frustration. Trust the Gene Genie!
