July 14, 200917 yr Here's the video of the Pretige edition being unboxed: http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2009/07/14/ ... n-unboxed/ Looks immense. So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth, These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf, Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in, Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything, Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel, Tear up the book and write your own damn rules, Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got, And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut, And realise that the other world that you're always looking for, Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door, And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas, After all, you were put on the earth to do this, So shine your light so bright that all can see, Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be.
July 14, 200917 yr The word 'prestige' reminds me.. I think prestiging needs a boost of sorts, not just a time to screw up your KDR slightly, but a time where something better can happen - maybe unlock guns by prestiging or something instead of just levels yea? I dont need a siggy no moar.
July 14, 200917 yr Unlocking guns shouldn't happen. WaW's extra class slots were incentive enough. It's not like you need more than 5 or 6 classes anyway, that fills in 1 gun from every class and an extra, and not many people shotgun. I dont need a siggy no moar.
July 14, 200917 yr Or you can have two sets of weapons, one for Hardcore, one for Core. I can think of many situations where I do not want to take the time to change all my classes just to change a gametype. There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new, better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience.
July 14, 200917 yr But still, wouldnt it be easier to say, you prestige 1 time, you have 6 custom classes right? 1. Sniping 2. MG/SMG 3. Rifle 4. HC Rifle 5. HC MG/SMG 6. ??? Yeah sure you would need them I guess, but for myself, even on the amount of maps listed on MW2 I wouldnt needmore than 6. It really is based on opinion but I dont see any other reason to prestige other than say the first time. More than 6 classes isnt really needed imo. I dont need a siggy no moar.
July 14, 200917 yr Every gun actually has a use in cod4, and will presumably in MW2, so more than 6 classes is a welcome addition.
July 14, 200917 yr Aye I read in the CoD4 thread certain guns were also clones. I dont need a siggy no moar.
July 14, 200917 yr I reckon I need about 10 classes... that'd probably do me. I'm ALWAYS experimenting with weapon sets so I need one slot constantly availiable for that, then 2 types of sniper, a mucking around class, 2 assault classes, and an SMG and 2 SnD classes, topped off with a hybrid class. I could definitely fill more as well... #-o Thanks to Quarra for the awesome sig!Xbox360 Gamertag = Tintin113
July 14, 200917 yr Wow I didnt know that people needed so many classes o.o I dont need a siggy no moar.
July 14, 200917 yr Unlocking guns shouldn't happen. WaW's extra class slots were incentive enough. Well if it's anything like CoD4 all the guns available first will still arguably the best. In CoD4, in the AR, SMG, Sniper, Shotgun options, the first choices IMO and by popular consensus seemingly were the best I.e M16, M5, M40, Pump action shotgun. The only class that differs to that IMO would be the LMG's, where the RPD was best but it was accessed pretty quickly. I played SnD HC most, M16, M40 or MP5 always did the jobs fine. LMG's were rarely needed for HC modes, I only used them for clan games Ray, 5 customizable classes was more than enough for me, one Ghost class (Silenced MP5), one "normal" class (M16, triple frag), Sniper class (M40, Claymores), hybrid class (M21, MP5), LMG class (RPD with Bandolier). All classes other than the Hybrid class I used UAV jammer, were great for HC modes.
July 14, 200917 yr Hmm. So for some people having more classes is unneeded. So for those people there's no real reason to prestige. I'm sure IW could or would make something to reason.. I dont need a siggy no moar.
July 14, 200917 yr Can't wait for MW2, getting a bit bored with WaW... The overuse of umm... One gun... Is making the game extremely boring.
July 14, 200917 yr Can't wait for MW2, getting a bit bored with WaW... The overuse of umm... One gun... Is making the game extremely boring. Dropshot beats it. With the same gun. :-#
July 14, 200917 yr Author Yall are serious about your classes arnt you? I played MLG for a couple weeks on CoD4 and I only used 5. 2 assault, 1 smg and 2 snipers. thats all I ever use. find the guns that you're the best with and just use them - 60,023rd to 99 Firemaking on April 29th, 2012 -- 15,152nd to 99 agility on August 21st, 2011 -- 30,569th to 99 Prayer on June 26th, 2011 -- 22,646th to 99 Hunter on Jan 9th, 2011 -1993 Miata; sold - 2001 E46 330i; "totaled" - 2001 E46 325iT; Bags and wheels ;)
July 15, 200917 yr So basically the three versions are the following: ? [hide=]Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Regular Edition: Probably $59.99 Game case with regular cover art, game disk, manual, any extra pamphlets Hardened Edition: Probably $79.99 Comes in a steel box with special metallic cover art special artbook, and token to download the original Call of Duty on Xbox Live Arcade. Prestige Edition: Probably $149.99 Has a box with the hardened version of COD: MW2, a sculpted head of Seargeant "Soap" McTavish to put the night vision goggles on, and fully functioning night vision goggles made by NVG with alternating modes, MW2 branded and infinity ward logo.[/hide] Probably getting hardened because the night vision goggles will most likely be crappy quality.
July 15, 200917 yr Yall are serious about your classes arnt you? I played MLG for a couple weeks on CoD4 and I only used 5. 2 assault, 1 smg and 2 snipers. thats all I ever use. find the guns that you're the best with and just use them Well I'm gonna have to see. I usually use a brutal set, a stealth, a sniping set and another set for random stuff myself. That's 4. And that's on CoD5 with 8 maps, so I guess 5-6 would do me. I dont need a siggy no moar.
July 15, 200917 yr My classes: Silenced MP5, UAV Jammer, Trip Special/Bandolier, Dead Silence/Steady Aim Noobtube AK-47, Stopping Power, Steady Aim M40A3, Stopping Power, Claymore, Iron Lungs Pump-Action Shotty, UAV Jammer, Trip Special, Steady Aim/Extreme conditioning RDS G36C, Stopping Power, Trip Special/Claymore, Steady Aim ACOG M21/M40A3, Stopping Power, Claymore, Iron Lungs I cycle between those 7 general classes (Switching in similar weapons for Challenges). There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new, better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience.
July 15, 200917 yr I could have used a few more classes than given in MW, but I manage. I usually have 2 sniper classes, 1 a stealth sniper with a bolt action, uav jammer, bandolier, and deep penetration, and 1 a combat sniper, barett, or dragunov, then stopping power, deep penetration and bandolier or claymores. Then I have a stealth class, silenced ak-74u, or mp5 depending on the map with uav jammer, dead silence and bandolier or c4. A rifleman class, with a g3 or m14, deep penetration, stopping power, bandolier. Then a straight up assault, m16 with stopping, extreme conditioning, and bandolier. Hegemony-Spain
July 15, 200917 yr Author Will shotguns be decent in MW2? :| I would imagine. They were talking about adding more close range type stuff because MW only had 2 shotguns and stuff at E3 Behind the Scenes My classes are just simple.. My MLG classes were my same exact classes as I play online. M16 red dot - Spec. Grenade x3 - Stopping Power - Dead Silence M4 Silenced - Spec. Grenade x3 - Stopping Power - Dead Silence MP5 Silenced - Spec. Grenade x3 - Stopping Power - Dead Silence M40A3 ACOG - Bandolier - Stopping Power - Steady Aim M40A3 - Spec. Grenade x3 - Stopping Power - Dead Silence I used those exact classes for when I played MLG with dP and they worked great - 60,023rd to 99 Firemaking on April 29th, 2012 -- 15,152nd to 99 agility on August 21st, 2011 -- 30,569th to 99 Prayer on June 26th, 2011 -- 22,646th to 99 Hunter on Jan 9th, 2011 -1993 Miata; sold - 2001 E46 330i; "totaled" - 2001 E46 325iT; Bags and wheels ;)
July 15, 200917 yr Can't wait for this game, haven't played WaW for awhile now. Dropshot beats it. With the same gun. :-# I loved it when people would try and dropshot me, easy headshots anyone?
July 15, 200917 yr Will shotguns be decent in MW2? :| I would imagine. They were talking about adding more close range type stuff because MW only had 2 shotguns and stuff at E3 Behind the Scenes I hope so. It was hard using a shotgun on my friends MW, and it was hard using a shotgun in WaW. I wanna see how it fares out. Shotgunning is fun but usually screws with your KDR. I dont need a siggy no moar.
