Kolgan
For those who dont know, you can make pieces of cloth out of four balls of wool. this is not the same cloth you use for you house, and cant be used in you house. This cloth is currently only used in the regicide quest. It is tradeable, but has been removed from the GE. To the point: What if you could use this useless item to make you own clothes, wich you could dye into any colour? You could use shears to cut a model, then use a needle and thread to make it. Then paint it in the end with dye. Citizen clothes for the lower level crafters. Then the higher you get in crafting, the fancier clothes you could make. Maybe even add bear fur on the inside for a reduction of stat lowering in icy places? Adding insignes of your herald to them? A lot of stuff could be added for own modifications so players can produce unique items. The best would be for these items to be untradable so you could show off your creativity  This will become P2p ofcourse -Kolgan PS: If a member could copy paste it into the RSOF under Item suggestions would be fine as im currently f2p :D EDIT: To demand I've thought it out a bit List of useable items: Several types of fur Silk Cloth Buttons (polished) Leather (all types) Ball of wool All dyes Lets set the minimal requirement to level 10 crafting as this is the required level to make cloth. For furring in pieces of clothing we add +5 to the required level of making it. Per example, i can make a pair of leather boots at level 7, this would thus require lvl 12 crafting to use fur on them. About dyeing clothing: You just made a shirt. when you use the blue dye on it, it will show all blue tinted colors known from the clothing shop. If using red it will show all red like colors. This way there is no need to endlessly mixing dyes to get the right type. At lvl 10 you could make a simple shirt and pants wich you could dye any color. They would both require 1 cloth 1 thread and of course a needle to sew it togather. Then use dye on it to give it a colour. xp: 2.5 xp x4 for spinning balls of wool 10 xp for weaving the balls of wool 20 xp for sewing your shirt 2.5 xp for dying (same as for the capes) ____+ 42.5 xp total Now at lvl 15 you might make a sweater. Then maybe cut it open and add buttons. Then painting it, then add a secondairy pattern to the sleeves or torso with a secondairy choice of dye. xp: 2.5 xp x4 for spinning balls of wool 10 xp for weaving the balls of wool 30 xp for sewing it all togather 2.5 xp dying ___+ 52.5 xp Optional: 7 xp for cutting and adding polished buttons 2.5 xp for secondairy pattern of dye 52.5 xp normal model ___+ 62 xp Now a fancier model, a leather jacket, level 50 Soft/hard leather, tread, any fur, buttons (or maybe and alter closing mechanic like a zip) You first cut and sew the model in leather (if you want coloured leather, dye it before making the desired piece of clothing). then you add the buttons and fur on the inside. xp: 60 xp for cutting and sewing the model 7 xp for the buttons 20 xp for the fur inside ___+ 87 xp Add 2.5 xp if the leather is dyed. A robe fit for a king, level 70 - 80: two pieces of best quality kyatt fur dyed red, and one high quality kyatt fur and two pieces of silk. Red fur for the outside, silk on the inside, a white fur trim. This model cant do without eachother, so all xp is received at once. xp: 10 xp x2 for dying the fur red 160 xp for the model ____+ 170 xp King roald will reward you nicely with 10k for this robe you made him, altough, he will only buy one every week. Well I could come up with endless of these ideas, but you get the picture. The point is that there should be a HUGE variation of stuff you could make, possible including white robes for the druids in taverly, like 15 a week for a nice price. And of course your own clothing wich you should store in a closet in your bedroom.

Toad
not really needed though we already have a selection of clothes for our players
Danqazmlp
I always wondered why we couldn't do this with the crafting skill. We have so many types of fur and cloth available, all the dyes, it would be a nice addition. Want to be my friend? Hippodo
I like the idea, especially the bear fur coat. Maybe for Acheron? Due to my epic stats, I have now started WGS (but I still hate spoilers).
dippymister
Sounds like a cool idea, and makes perfect sense. You could make wizard/monk robes too. This should be in suggestions btw. :ohnoes:My Guide on Obby Mauling!

sees_all1
you can add me to the supporters of this idea. I think you'd do well to make a chart of all the new things you can do under this new crafting subsection, called sewing? Ideas would be materials required, experience gained, etc., and whether its F2P or P2P. 99 dungeoneering achieved, thanks to everyone that celebrated with me! ♪♪ Don't interrupt me as I struggle to complete this thoughtHave some respect for someone more forgetful than yourself ♪♪♪♪ And I'm not doneAnd I won't be till my head falls off ♪♪

Zaaps1
Yes, you could make a use for all unused materials. For example, bear fur and wolf fur at lower levels and silk at higher levels. unjustblood
tl;dr As long as what you're suggesting has a 1 defence requirement I agree. Without spacing, its 8 lines. Your a failure. You have over 1,100 posts and you go to a suggestion just to say its too long and you didn't read it, when its barely the length of a high school paragraph. I swear, Tip.It is going down the drain. OT : This is a great suggestion. I really like it, its very expandable, and I think it would be used if there was a decent benefit. Perhaps a respect system amongst NPCs. Extra things in quests if you show you have 'class'
Sir_Kurity
Not bad, but to complex having the whole custom cloths thing, i think it would be better if we just had a lot of preset clothing. O.O
Kolgan
im going to look up all items wich could be used for this, and make some examples. I guess profit could be made to sell them for a decent price at clothing shops or fancy npc's who wear fancy clothing (king roald, those ppl at murdermystery quest and maybe a rich trader at ardoughne?) ill add possible xp, how their going to be painted and some more :D
awesome400
i wonder if they would make buttons tradable again since theres trade limits and such lol (was untradable due to the scam for p2p >f2p saying its rare like a santa) 1100 total achieved 03/02/09 880thousandth to reach it :P1200 total achieved 29/09/11 1.23millionth to reach it :P

Seraphi
I like this idea, but I still think there needs to be more content. more customisation options.....I just feel there is a lot missing.
