I am not sure about where you are donating to, and I am just giving you a suggestion, of course - it is totally your call. Just recently, a "genocide" has been occurring in Darfur, Sudan. Here almost 150,000+ people have died, and over 2 Million have been moved to Chad, and surrounding countries, uprooted. They don't act politically, but they get down to the roots and the families and give them supplies to live on.
