Aviansies-gp/hour.

Recommended Posts

So, I was looking through a few of the range question topics here, and saw this:

Range has the best stable money maker (avansies, 825k\h) and luck based money making (Sara, TD, Armadyl, all over 1m). In short, it's the best money making skill. Also, it owns at PVP, and it's by far the fastest combat skill to train :P

So, I'm reading this, and I get to the part about aviansies being 825k per hour. How is this? The most I have ever gotten is 300k, with extremely good luck paying full attention and only picking up bars and rune drops until my bunny died.

I have two aviansies to myself the whole time, and 89 range(90 now, but I only got it a while ago, so I haven't been back), potting up at 95. The only thing I can think of is me being in the eyrie, where I fight a 77 and 89 as opposed to <80 levels, and not being 99 range as is being discussed in that topic, but I really doubt even those make a 525k per hour difference.

What am I doing wrong? What can I do to get this that much higher?

My skin is finally getting soft
I'll scrub until the damn thing comes off

Attention and technique are the key factors. If you browse while killing aviansies then you will spend alot of time standing around doing nothing after you killed an aviansie. Technique differs because B2P'ers generally get a very slight reduction in gp/hr. This is only because they need to take the time to pick up bones, make space, use the spell, eat each peach individually for only 8hp. Bunyip leaves no delay, so if you have the defence level it's great at aviansies.

Also, remember that prices change. I can't remember what addy prices were at the release of GWD but I can guarantee you they were ALOT more. Probably 4k+/ea. So what your reading may just be outdated info. One more thing to keep in mind is you can no longer use the emerald bolt poisoning technique effectively because of large crowding, this was a very fast way to kill aviansies but obviously doesn't work anymore.

As for using obby rings, I'm not too sure on that. At 300+/ea the price would start to have effect on profit. Broad bolts are always a good choice (and long kebbit bolts before everyone realized how good they are and shot the price up :P )

Well in me experience, most of the people who clain to make over 600k an hour at avianises negleckt to tell you that you need to have 99Ranged and the highest possible ranged Bonus. This being said, its still hard to make that ammount of money in just one hour, but i dont think its impossible. You need to use the prayer method to do this however. Put on the Protect from Ranged spell and hit as much Aviansies as you possibly can at once with Emerald (e) bolts. The poison will mean the Aviansies die faster, meaning faster money. Lets say you find yourself an empty world, hit 5 Aviansies till they are poisoned, and then start killing them one b one, by the time your kill your second Aviansie another 1 have died of poison. By the time you kill the 3rd the 5th one dies of Poison. This results in you killing 5 Aviansies in the time you ussually killed 3. This will seamingly increase your exp and gp per hour rates.

I didnt believe this to work until i tried it out myself and with only 90Ranged i managed to make 550k in one hour.

At 83 ranged, 99 defence and using a bunyip I managed to make ~380k in one hour there killing mostly 79s-92s.

I used broad bolts, sara d hide top and bottom, dfs, arma helm and zammy vambraces, of course don't forget the (maybe) trusty ring of wealth :D

a ring of wealth decreases the drop rate of adamant bars, because they are a common drop

99 range

Unicorn

Maxed range bonus

I still find it hard to believe that makes for 500k/hour.

So, with 90 range, 68 summoning, 80 defense, +243 range defense, +148 range attack bonus how much could I get an hour? Is 300k really the max for me there?

Or, would +172 range attack attack, +190 range defense and b2p and a bunyip be better there?

My skin is finally getting soft

They aren't lying, I made 600k/hr there my first time trying it with 99 range/void/bunyip/rings/eagle eye. You could probably make at least 450-500k/hr

Unicorn? What about a fighter like a geyser titan? I've been told that it only gets like 2-4k bonus xp an hour, and it does make sense that fighters would make a much smaller difference at aviansies given their low hp, but the bonus a high-level combat familiar yields is so much better that that sort of figure is kinda unbelievable to me.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

Aviansies kinda die too fast so your familiar wouldnt even hit it once because of its slow response. The most I made was 300k - 400k in an hour and I think that compfreak guy is exaggerating.

All the aviansies have at least 70hp, I think, so even with void, eagle eye, 99 range, and whatever you'll probably take at least 2-3 hits, on average, to kill them. Pressing the call button will cause your familiar to attack after one hit.

I use highly methodical testing methods. Don't knock what you haven't tried, I've honed the numbers down to within a few thousand GP. It is possible, it just takes a lot of skill and a good setup.

Other players help too. If you feel like being a jerk, you can follow them around attacking any avansie they do; you'll out hit them virtually every time, and it'll jack your profit rate up substantially. I've made over 900k in an hour thanks to one annoying newb with 99 range and broad bolts.
