^Don't need food if you're ranging them. Put on pray mage and you won't take any hits. Use broad bolts. Bring the best Beast of Burden and wear maxed ranged bonus with unholy book.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

and now we look at his stats...

No, or you could probably struggle and kill them.

Why would you want to kill them?

Trust the Gene Genie!

And faster prayer XP. (BEST thing to kill for prayer... yet so highly underrated.)

Could you? Probably, but not enough to make it worthwhile. You might be able to kill a mithril dragon...maybe. If you're gonna try and kill a Brutal Green, why not try and kill a Mithril?

I think you'll be dead either way (if you have to ask the question, that is), but might as well shoot for the stars instead of the top of the building.

Unlike Mithril Dragons, you can compeletely stop a Brutal Green Dragon's damage. Drink an antifire potion and use Protect from Magic. (Anti-dragon shield is not needed because Protect from Magic acts as an anti-dragon shield on ALL leather dragons except for the King Black Dragon.)

I think he meant that you get much less bones on brutals because you get 2 hides to the bones and have to bank earlier, and that you spend much more time killing for the one bone.

Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.

Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well.

And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.

[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.

You definitely can kill them, but it'll be quite slow if you're doing it for cash/xp. You probably want 80+ range for them to really be considered a money maker. They're very easy to range, someone with the patience could kill them at even 40 range, forget about profit though...

I have both a range and melee guide to these. Just click the draconic guide in my sig ;) (Don't try melee them without at least 80+ all melee stats and good equipment).

I'll have to agree with the rest of the people here though, just kill normal greens if your in it for the money alone.

All in all, you can consider ranging brutals the same as ranging black dragons but with mage prayer. Brutals have lower defence and better drops than black dragons, they just don't drop visages (it's not like you're ever getting one if you DO kill black dragons).
