So far all I've tried doing is downloading a popup blocker addon for Firefox.

Naw you cant cuz they installed it for security

It was probably put there because there were complaints about how easy it was to navigate away from the page; backspacing, clicking on an ad accidentally, it can't be too hard to do. So I'm pretty sure the only thing you can really do is learn to live with it. It's only one more click, won't hurt you.

Yea. Its just for security reasons and so you won't accidentally "x" out of the page.

It does for me, it was added recently.

Try disabling Javascript, and then load up the page. That should stop it from popping up, since I'm pretty sure its a Javascript function making it do that.

This has saved my [wagon] a few times in Stealing Creation games.

 

 

 

I've had about 26K points without depositing, and accidentally hit backspace, and this pop-up saved a lot of my time.

 

 

 

Why disable it. Just log out, and click okay; honestly if that one additional click is a huge deal, you're obviously playing the wrong game.

As for that message it's actually better than before now it only appears if you try to go back or close the window while you're logged in. If you're logged out it doesn't come up.

Another type of Web Browser, like there's Firefox And Iternet Explorer.

Hmm, true. I just turned off javascript and it wouldn't load anymore.

 

 

 

But, if you turn it off after runescape has loaded, runescape will still work and you wont get the popup.

Hmm, but you can turn it off beforehand so you can exit quickly if you want. It messes up most websites though, so no idea if it's preferable over the popup.

Also as I said on page 1 they way the new popup works means it ONLY comes up if u try to navigate away while logged on.

but I never log out properly, I find it annoying, especially because sometimes it takes a little while, or if you're in a multi combat place you can't log out because things keep attacking you so I just exit out, and I've never died or had any problems with this.

Realising of course that your charecter does not log out for...1m 30s I belive. Try doing this in the GWD and log back in a couple minutes later and see if your still there (dont bring anything valuble obviously). And if your not in circumstances where inatention could get your charecter killed, the game will take all of .5 seconds to log you out.
