txxxt5
anyone tried ranging armoured zombies? im 94 range 65 def. ive heard they max out at 90k/hour in melee and i was just thinking zombies could be better then yaks at high lvl range. Cant test it myself till i get defender of varrock so would like some input please and thanks :) I dont mind using money for food or other things as long as its better xp then yaks but less money lost then chining xturtx - range tank:
My_Eggs
No need for food really, theres an altar just up the ladder, so you can pray all the time if you want to. Not sure how well ranging works there, but I have seen a few people there doing it. 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. Gandorf61
Not sure if they are better xp than yaks with range but they are probably equal or most likely more. As My_Eggs said there is an alter just up the ladder allowing for any prayer to be used constantly which allows for better xp. llamster
Yaks aren't good range xp... Zombies are probably equal or better xp with far superior drops. Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:
gorgoroth
Yaks aren't good range xp... Zombies are probably equal or better xp with far superior drops. I would have to agree with this. Yaks might even be 5k Exp a hour more, but the profit from zZombies will make up for that. **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]
Lets_3ekout
I've tried it, defence can be an issue. With full void + DFS + super def pot + bunyip (no defensive prayers) I needed 1-3 pineapple pizzas per BUNYIP. Definetly afkable, but alse definetly not as good as meleeing there. Obviously you can't use salve, and you need to focus more on defence, where with melee you can just go crazy with offence and it won't matter. To answer the question, yes it works. If you have a good defence level (90+?) it is much better than yaks and afkable. txxxt5
just saw how much skilling and quests id have to do (garden of tranq, family quest, 25 lvls of agility and farming) so i dont think its worth it for me right now till i get defence up. llamster said yaks arent good range xp? are there any better that come to mind? ive been trying to find a good medium inbetween yaks and chinning for like 2 months in members and havent found. firegiants are good drops so been doing some of them recently but xp/hour isnt better then yaks. xturtx - range tank:
