Which makes more money: Adamantite Ore or Raw Sharks

Featured Replies

Obvisouly idividually addy sells for more but in the long term ( an inventory) what will sell for more in a shorter time.

Basically is it faster to get an inv of Sharks or adamant ore

How many runescapers does it take to fix a lightbulb?

50, 1 to screw it in and 49 to complain that it was better before.

it takes way too long to spawn for adamant, unless you're mining coal/gold and addy at the same time its not very good cash

Definitely sharks. But monkfish are better for training.

Ah, this reminds me about the noob on the Runescape forums who was upset with the quest "Cold War" because apparently his grandparents died in the war. :wall:

You make more money picking snape grass or flax I swear. Sharks are awful money. You'd probably make more money runecrafting.

But on f2P?

Sharks seem better than Addy

I'm 95 fishing and I get 92k/h... I need to re-calculate. Awful money tbh.

Monkfish is a fast method to level up but you need to do a bunch of quests first. I did lobsters, earnt a bit of cash on the way and got my cooking level up too.

You can't fish sharks on f2p. So, if you're f2p, the answer is adamantite ore.

My skin is finally getting soft
I'll scrub until the damn thing comes off

Haha I didn't say anything about that because I thought he was going to get 76 fishing and then get members.

But yeah, if you really want to fish, do lobsters. You'll make nice bank and it's easier than mining addy.

hobgoblin mine in the wild has TONS of addy rocks

Also has TONS of revenants. Anyway, assuming you are going back to members, Sharks are the better money maker. Few people buy addy ore, making it a possible, but slowish method. Sharks are always in high demand, on the other hand. I suggest fishing lobs in F2P to around 80 if you want to catch sharks at a decent rate.

PM me for fitocracy invite

Oh haha yeah if you're getting members then yeah, go for sharks. Even though lobsters or monkfish would be faster, just being able to fish sharks is cool. Just fish sharks at fishing guild. It's a good environment and very relaxing.

Though my members visit was temporary and I did not fish sharks or what-have-you, I can tell you from personal experience that adamantite ore sells poorly (as in, I hardly find any buyers). The best sellers of the mid-higher level ores are mithril and runite. Many admire coal but I find it a bit too slow for cash for my personal taste (better to bank it for smith training or bar selling).

Thanks for the great memories folks :).

If you're mining, pure essense will probably get you more cash by at least three times what you'd get mining adamantite.

Since you seem like you want to skill for money, why not try Hunter? It is better money than any of the other gathering skills right now. The only downside is the amount of clicking required. However, getting to 99 nets you a cool 30m.
