Vulxai
Are you going to use prayer, food, or b2p? ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
Libertherme
Whatever makes the most money.
Vulxai
The prayer method makes the most money, I believe. This probably the best set-up, but if something costs too much, feel free to substitute it with a cheaper alternative. SETUP HEAD: Saradomin or Zamorak Mitre NECKLACE: Saradomin or Zamorak Stole (either have this or the head be Saradomin, at least) TORSO: Monk Robe LEGS: Monk Robe BOOTS: Ranger Boots CAPE: Ava's Accumulator WEAPON: Rune Crossbow GLOVES: Barrows Gloves or Black Vambs BOLTS: Broad Bolts or Enchanted Emerald Bolts (mithril) SHIELD: Unholy Book RING: Archer's Ring INVENTORY Runes: Trollhelm Tele if you can use it (2 fires, 2 laws), and Alch runes. Holy Wrench if you have it 3 Ranging (4) potions 10 Prayer potions 1 Super Restore potion 1 Saradomin Brew (for emergency) Taken from Truthscape. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~
mysafehome01
Use the bones to peaches method. it's much cheaper than prayer and you can last for as long as you like depending on how many b2p tabs you take.
Sir_Redhead
This is my set-up. Also noting, I'm rather cheap and won't spend an ungodly amount of money to do this. What I wear Helm of Neitiznot Armadyl pendant Ava's Accumulator Broad Bolts > Mith bolts Rune c'bow Dragonfire shield (or a granite shield) Saradomin D'hide Dragon platelegs Zamorak vambraces Dragon boots > snakeskin boots (depends if you want defence, or range bonus) Inventory 50 b2p tabs 100 nature runes 500 fire runes Mith grapple(if you want to enter lair, there are more to kill, but higher level) Rest of inventory either monks or sharks Gained first quest cape on 3/22/09! Ezkaton
I went with a friend of mine not long ago. What's best for you is because you're starting out is perhaps what i did: Prayer Char Set Up Archer Helm - or get robin hood hat, or a mitre Sara Stole - or zammy, or even use the armadyal pendant Red Dhide - you can obviously wear black or you could try the monks robes as mentioned above - or the blessed dhide eg sara top, zammy bottom Snakeskin boots - or get archer boots ava's Accumulator Rune Cbow 2K mith bolts (I used up about 500 a trip scoring 200kc a time) Unholy Book I'd wear a ring of life to begin with as you get your bearings, then move the archers ring or if you want to go to wealth....... however everyone seems to say on here that the wealth decreases the bars you get, and increases the other drops. Prayer Inventory the one i used was a follows: 1 Rope to get in (only need 1, it stays there) 1gp 1 noted addy bar 100 natures 400 fires - fire staff (you'll find that you'll end up with more natures than you start with) 26 Prayer Pots 1 Shark (for emergency) This set up cost me about 200K per time i went, and i managed to make 500K profit each time racking up 200+KC...... however I would advise you try ranging potions, and if you can take a holy wrench do so. You can also substitue mith bolts for the broad bolts. BEWARE with this method you do drain quickly, and it's only really worth it if you're in the centre area all the time with 4 or more on you at once. I haven't tried B2P set up yet, but i do believe people know it is superior, and i will be trying it out soon. B2P Char Set Up Archer Helm God Stole - Arma pendant - Fury - Glory Zammy Dhide Sara Chaps Snakeskin Boots or rangers barrows gloves or black dhide vambs ava's accumulator Rune cbow Mith/broad Bolts Granite Shield (no need for god book as you cover that with the chaps/body/stole) Ring of life for first go down there, archers ring, or ring of wealth once you get used to it Invent Set Up (1 rope if you haven't already done that part) 1gp 1 noted addy bar 100 nats, 400 fires - fire staff 100 B2P tabs 1 prayer pot (for emergancies) 24 Bones (for first B2P tab) That should let you last a while. BEWARE - If you stay in the main area all the time expect heavy damage (they hit 15's on me constant and quick and i forgot range pray was off #-o ), so there are 2 aviansies down the lil side ally on the right that no one goes to, and they often have a warewolf helping you out. Hope that helps man  if not pm me, or ask even more experienced people on this forum :P Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.2672nd person to reach 2496 total. Thanks to Wicked for the awesome siggy :D
mister_moocky
What I used from 89-99: No b2p, no prayer, no food, just equip the body and spear and heal on the jogres, ogres, and hobgoblins. Pick up all ranarrs. Guthans lasted for 1.5k kills. quit
Sinkhan
This is my set-up. Also noting, I'm rather cheap and won't spend an ungodly amount of money to do this. Dragon boots > snakeskin boots (depends if you want defence, or range bonus) For the record, dragon boots offer no ranged defence. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

llamster
Bring prayer potions for 10% range. I can't believe most people don't do this. But at aviansies inventory space is very important, especially if you don't have 68 summoning. That said, I would recommend 10% over 5%. It costs 25-30k an hour and boosts xp probably by 8-9%, but that's just a guess. llamster
Maybe. I'd only consider it for boss-hunting like GWD and DKs, but boost prayers in general aren't worth it there.
