OnIIx
Hello. Well I have joined a few clans, sorta forgot/gave up, but they where just noob ones. First time I did try, I got BSed and lost a lot (to me, 500K-750K). But we did down quite a few people and have some Lol's (e.g. 115 in Ahrims, TB'ed then mass barraged/blitz'ed/Diamond (e)'d). I see so many people doing so much for their clans, is it really that good? I love PvP, I love risking lots. I have gone with friends (few friends in Ahrims, one in 40M+ Gear with no teleport FAR FAR away from a bank with little to no brews he trusted us this much) and they are in big clans. Is it that good? They where in the same clan I think. I like all the things clans like, Castlewars, Boss hunting, Godwars, PvP, fight pits etc, I do all of that VERY regulary, and have trouble finding people to play with :( How much time do you invest a day? A week? A month? Well thanks, just sorta thinking of AO or something similar. Current goal: Legends, Regicide, Roving Elf's, Barrows RFD, 95+ Attack. LegendaryStu
Most clans are f2p based, there are some p2p based clans but if you are new to clans i think you would find yourself quite poor quite quickly. With clans when you get a kill, you don't normally loot, as it means less food to survive with. However, if you are interested i would suggest starting out with a smaller clan. If so, PM me. obfuscator
There are certainly a lot of options to chose from. Certainly I would advise you to start small. "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
Kimberly
I personally love clans. They're the reason I've played runescape so long. Without them, I would have quit 4 years ago. They provide enormous entertainment, fun challenges, and a good community. I've made more close friends in the clan world in one year than I ever did in 2 years of solo playing on RS. To me? Yes, they're really that good. Yes, they're worth it. I dedicate about 4-8 hours a month to clan for events, wars, and PKs; anything else is voluntary and willingly given. I think you would like the clan world and the experiences it could offer. I think, for you, it would be worth it if you could find your "niche." It'd take some trial and error, but I really think you'd enjoy yourself and enrich your gaming experience in a P2P-based clan :)
decebal
I personally think you would be best for those p2p clans that boss hunt a lot. Although I can easily see you waste about 50 rune sets on a war :P . I personally invest about 4 hours a month on clan time, not including the time I spend on the forums, which to be honest gets fun to see in what shenanigans people get into :)

Most of the time, I can make about 2-3 events a month, and seeing that each one is like 2 hours, I usually put in 4-6 hours a month ;) . Don't look so surprised now :P

Neltak
Here's a link to the "looking for clan/group forum" Also I believe that clans are a great way to enjoy Runescape to the fullest. I've been a part of a couple of the "noob" clans (they can be very annoying) before I found the groups which I'll be with until I quit Runescape. Once you find a good group then its definitely worth it, as a lot of clans do the events your talking about. And I personally invest between 20-40 hours/month in clan events, depending on my runescape time.
