Tzharr drop rate.

got a cape after 3k tokkul. which would seem about 1/200

1/200 sounds about right. I did a google search. Someone who killed 1000 TzHaars reported a drop rate of 1.2%, so it's a bit higher than 1/200, although it'll vary from monster to monster.

its luck really. Try switching worlds? I got 2 obisidian capes in a row and then no drops for the resy of the day when I went there.

Worlds don't affect what you get as a drop. If you're fine on that world stay there.

Of course worlds dont relay what drops you get but it helps mentality.

This is true, but not for all people. When I hop worlds and I'm still on a dry streak, I'm usually think like "omfg god hates me", so it doesn't exactly help everybody. But yeah, do what it takes to keep your morale up.

I'd probably say 1/100 or 1/200, leaning more towards 200. If your camping there for fun, right on! It's some pretty good xp and the people there are normally nice. If your camping for money and ranging, I suggest Black Dragons (In the Lost City) or Aviansies. If meleeing? Slayer is always good money/charms. all the luck to ya at Tzhaar, though.

  • 4 weeks later...

I would say that the drop rate is about 1 in 150 to 1 in 200.

Tips are dropped approximately 27.5% of the time according to research.

Was that necessary to dump this topic?

Basically...who cares?

When you get the drop you get the drop. No test can make a definate answer as its all luck..

Besides keep trying and get some Onyx Tips

Possibly you can get 300 tips before you get a drop

I melee'd obbys using full barrows, whip, defender, super sets and monks + dds. After roughly 8-9k tokkul i got my first obby drop = a obby maul, after 1k tokkul i got a cape and was like: wow, stupid. and then less than 600 tokkul after i got another cape. Its really random.

I was just down there with a friend for around 15 minutes or so while he alched so I killed a Xil outside bank over and over, got an obby cape. Take a ring of wealth, it may help, lol.

The corp beast, is, well, just a corp beast. He doesnt even have any friends.

[spoiler=Other Quotes]tbh idk why this makes me laugh so hard

All DFS threads turn into efficiency flame wars >.>

It's all luck to be honest.

You can't expect to kill 200 & get 1 drop. Within those 200 kills you may get 0 drops, you could possibly get 5 drops...

There IS a rate. But whether you are lucky enough to get that drop is dependent on luck.

I've killed loads & never had a drop but i personally don't kill tzaar's very often. I might go kill 100 sometime next week & say exactly what i get from exactly 100 kills.
