Pop art cartoon characters!

Featured Replies

Ok, i'm becoming increasingly bored of the whole pixel pixel pixel landscape pixel tttia's drawing pixel landscape thing i'm seeing on this board, so i wanted to try some more abstract styles of art. So here it is - Pop art!

Both images were drawn from rough references.

Equipment used : Photoshop 7.0

I didn't mean abstract as in that crappy style of photoshop filter piles, i meant abstract as in something a little bit more out of the ordinary than most of the stuff posted here.

Thanks all for your comments :)

I know that.. But it still isn't abstract.

What do you think abstract is then? :? Abstract is more than the "abstract" signatures made on this forum.

Actually most art could be considered abstract. You just only think that abstract is brushed photoshopped sigs.

Looking prety good rob, loving the fry one :P

If you're just gonna argue then take your comments elsewhere, because they're not appreciated here.

I love Warhol's work, I wrote an art paper on him last year.

Haha.. I like how you classify abstract and grunge as seperate styles.

And the term Vector does not refer to 2D illustrations alone, or abstract sigs as you're putting it, but is an entirely different type of graphic, formed by points and lines, rather than by pixels (a graphic made up of pixels would be raster-based).

Yeah, don't you love it?

I belive futurama was talking about abstract as in something not done that often, not a sig with a shiny render in it >.>

You should do more of these futurama, they're good :)

It's awesome, I love it! It's nice to see someone mix it up around here. Good job! :)

~108 combat~

5.9k dusties killed / dragon chain :D

nice work, though I am sure we could have done without the underwear shot.

Perhaps we should have a seperate arena for battles such as rsc. It has led to an explosion in different styles as everyone wants to compete in different ways. And it seems like you get to know people more quickly. It is hard to know everyone here anymore.
