the color composition is nice, all things nicely excecuted i like the grass moste.

the only problems i can see now is that the trees are a bit gradientish flat, tho for some reason i dont seem to bother it that much.

and the sky is a tad empty, clouds or/and birds can do allot to that.

Very nice, I would have to agree with an earlier poster about it needs a cloud or 2

but the colours and style are very good

the animations are good you see them, but you don;t at first realise as it were they are animations.

Man the more i browse this forum the more I wanna finally find time to try and turn my imaging and pixel skills to make a sig or two

Dragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue

Yea, aside from the plain sky it's very detailed and well made. Love the Anim̮̩̉̉ eyes too :) Love the animation too!

As for CC, it's just the sky that seems plain, plus i'm not a fan of the bevelling on the text as it's a pixel sig, but that's just a personal prefence.

Excellent work, you've got a lot of talent :)

Very nice Punkage, I wouldn't think that it'd be a crime to love your style 8) and yeah, I do. very cartoony and eyecatching .

For crits as people have said it may help to add a few wavey clouds and add more of a texture to the trees cus they look very smooth, also Ive noticed theres no shadows :? is that cus you forgot or just figured it'd look better without? well very well done, nothing wrong with the linework and you've coloured and shaded it in a great way which suits your art style :) .

9/10 cus I love that style :o

Look at teh butterfly! Ee is cute! 8) U mek sig???

Hi to you to, Punkage. How goes it?

Well, the empty sky can be partialy solved by a dithered-gradient Differant dithering patterns, of even two colors, can make alot of differance. Subtle, yet effective.

I'd say ditch the black outlines, and make the color outlines just darker shades. Your still not using antialaising, its a simple (midly) step that can help smooth out 'jaggies' or places where the pixels show the true blockyness of their nature. Some stlyistic pieces can make use of this blockyness, but your shading betrays your desires for smoothness.

So, I'll assume you have no idea what I'm talking about. Well, to start, AA stands for 'anti-alaising'. What means this? Basicaly, AA is creating a one or two pixel gradient to blend things into eachother, therefore creating the illusion of curves.

And example.

Mr smilie, some dude I just made. (Pm me if you want this as a free avatar-anyone)

hi9ds.png

He's heavily antialiased. He looks rather smooth (perhaps sauve, in his more serious moments?)

But wait? How do the pixels become smooth?

hibig6op.png

Boom! A two color gradient helps destroy some jaggies. This guy is still alittle jaggy, but thats because alot of the lines werent drawn well.

I have more to say, but unfortuanatly, I have this horrible habit- sleep. Gotta quit that some day...

Be ready for critique- the SEQUAL! on the 'morrow.

nice piece, I really like the colours, and the linework is awesome. I don't really like the faces on the chars, but I suppose that's just my personal preference.

keep up the good work
