The first drop works like a charm... but the next.

 

When I hold control, it always goes a bit further than it did on the first time, effectively making it impossible for me to powerdrop.

 

 

 

Any ideas on how to resolve it?

 

 

 

Learn to powerdrop without mousekeys. It can be even faster if you've got some mouse mastery.

You can adjust how far it goes. I'm not sure how, check out Wakka's guide.

Were you holding control on both the down clicks? or just on the second click?

I held my ctrl button down during the entire ordeal.

 

Seriously, if I don't move my mouse, the speed will pick up and I get that gif'd problem.

I have this problem.

 

The only way I can find to fix it is to move my mouse while dropping.

I had the same problem! And it is easily fixable.

 

 

 

Go to Control Panel -> Mouse -> Pointer Options

 

 

 

Uncheck (or check) the box that says "Enhance pointer precision." The problem should be fixed.

 

 

 

Edit: And I think I am going to punch the next person who says they can manually drop faster than mousekeys. Try to go down a column faster than this; I dare you.

Regardless, I'd say you're pretty cool for being able to go faster than mouse keys, I'd sure be happy to.

 

 

 

But most of us arn't godspeed, so our next best alternative is mousekeys.

Um, quick question, how do you use the mouse-keys to drop items? :oops:

 

It's a function that enables you to use keyboard keys to move your mouse down(if you didn't already know that) and if you're quick enough, you can drop an entire inventory in less than 20 seconds.
