Essentially, there are two groups being tested (first episode was Apache Indians vs Gladiators .. last night's was Yakuza vs. Mafia), with experts from both sides testing the traditional weapons and armour (if any) of the combatants. They take analysis from each side, and then put them into a combat simulator and run it a 1,000 times to see which side wins. At the very end, they have an action simulation to show how the battle may go. It's fairly new and psuedo-science-ish, but still very fun to watch. The best part is of course the battle simulation, but the rest is still fairly interesting to see how certain weapons test out. I present to you men, His Imperial Majesty Emperor Norton I. Yea, it's like Jurassic Fight Club; 55 minutes of showing the same information and animations over and over, then 5 minutes of actual battle. I've only seen a few minutes of this, but if it really is like JFC, they even interrupt the awesome final fight scene with shots of the guys they interview flapping their gums. We want to see dinosaurs fighting to the death, not old professors. Command the Murderous Chalices! Also, it makes sense a spartan would win, if it's similar to a cage match or something. The ninja is all about stealth and manueverability, if there's no place to run to and no opportunity for a surprise attack then an armored spartan with a big spear could totally kick his [wagon]. Ninja is watching. Ninja pops out, runs up to the back of the Spartan, prepares to kill. Shield comes in handy here. Nothing much happens until the ninja uses his flail-thing and trips the spartan. Ninja runs away. Spartan tries to stab ninja with big, deadly spear. Ninja uses scythe to cut the [bleep] out of spear and stab the spartan a little. Throws crushed broken glass in spartan's eyes, although apparently the spartan could blink it out within a second and keep chasing. They both throw stars and javelins and crap, but they suck at it, so nothing there. Ninja climbs up cliff, jumps down, and apparently spartan is able to poke his sword up and stab through the ninja.
