My_Eggs
Whats going on with the G.E right now? I can't buy mithril ore or coal at max price right now, yet when I was training my smithing last month I could buy them both at market price.... Anyone know why nobody is selling these two items? 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. The_Fray
It seems that the number of price manipulators and merchanting clans have nearly doubled. I cant wait till an update that helps reduce their effectiveness.

I cant wait till an update that helps reduce their effectiveness. I'm not really looking forward to what they might do to stop it though. I could see them reducing how many items can be bought every 4 hours.... It would be even worse on the skillers than the merchants because then we wouldn't be able to train as quickly. :x 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. This would effectively terminate the armor/weapon merchanting market. The skilling market would be much harder to hammer down... possibly a longer than 4 hour ban on reselling items? Even raising it to more than 4 hours wouldn't do anything. Most price manipulating clans hold onto items for almost a week or more at a time. 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. Youmu
2 words: Merchanting Clans. Another 2 words: Price Manipulators. I TOTALLY agree with the TC. It's already been 2 weeks since my offers of 11K threads (max) started... Everyonedies
Im shocked you arnt able to buy coal for max. But mith not shocked at all there is not that many people that mine it to sell, most people mine it for themselve to use. It has a really low value for the time it takes to get. (even at 90 minning mith is slow to get) http://www.clanhavok.net/

(even at 90 minning mith is slow to get) I trained smithing from 63 to 69 by buying my mith and coal. Had no problem getting either. I can see mith having a lower supply than coal, but it was still readily available. And I honestly can't see why coal would be bought out by Merching Clans, there is simply too much of it, and too high a supply. (Think F2P rather than P2P) And i'm fairly sure you're limited to 10k/hr or something anyway? That said, you if you actually can't buy coal, try putting in offers for max, or go to the mining guild in an F2P world, and ask people how much coal they have in their banks and buy it without going through the GE? Bloodrex
i'm got a lot of mith ore as p2p (f2p for a moment) and i thought it would be a good idea to mine some coal while i'm at it! anyway... there's NO way you wouldn't be able to buy coal at all... there's a massive supply of it... i would think maybe there's some big buyers out there atm (think of people wanting 99 smithing) but even then there wouldn't be a reason for coal to be bought out completely... maybe wait a bit longer and you'll be able to buy! Surely anyone looking for 99 smithing would just buy addy bars instead? Faster exp and a ready supply from Aviansies?
