A BGS' 60 is around 40 with a whip.

Thought BGS had a higher chance of maxing than a whip.

Nope, Strength determines you max hit, attack determines if you hit or miss.

I was using the SS for a while when training strength. I quite liked that, because it makes a different sound than the whip.

 

 

 

I liked the special also. Lightning. Can't go wrong with that.

 

 

 

But obviously I knew I wasn't getting the maximum experience. After I got 99 str I switched back to the whip.

There is no difference with ags or sgs, wich are both useless, but for their special. I'm really confused on why you are asking this. You've used a gs before, so are you just asking wether BGS spec is worth it for slayer? The obvious answer is no, since you will kill the monster 3 sec later, making lowering his defence extremely pointless.

BGS is aweful for slayer. As is an AGS or ZGS. SGS as a main weapon also stinks. SGS for pray restoral and hp restore is good however.

 

 

 

Stick with Rdefender and whip for everytask or a Sarasword for str training/waterfiends

Don't use it. Whip or sara sword are both faster killers.

Whip + defender with SGS is the only way that a GS is good efficiency wise. I wouldn't buy it, but if he feels the urge.

I've seen 52's with my Whip and DFS combo.

 

 

 

The differences between each GS are the specials, since the stats of all 3 are the same.

 

I would buy a BGS if you truly want it, but only use it once the special has recharged. Use a whip for actual training.

BGS is only good for tasks like Dark Beasts, maybe Abby Demons and Gargoyles. But obviously for dust devils and fire giants just use whip + defender.
