Other religions just try to help you live a good life (or as what they believe is steps to live a good life.) They don't ask you to do a test and order people to pay for Scientology teaches or Dianetics. You can walk into a Christian Church, hear the sermon and not even have to pay, only if you wish too.

I don't know if they'll be that successful arguing on the grounds of fraud. According to the wiki definition, "fraud is the crime or offense of deliberately deceiving another in order to damage them usually, to obtain property or services unjustly."

 

 

 

In that case, they would have to prove that they use the E-meter to deliberately deceive people in order to damage them. According to scientologist beliefs, the E-meter is supposed to help people, so I don't know how they can prove that.
