I like airsoft over paintball, though I've only paintballed a coupla times, and only airsofted (is that the world?) like three times. Would an airsoft gun be even allowed there? Since they're actually designed to be realistic looking?

 

No, Airsoft guns can never be imported into Australia.

I've played paint balling like 3 times. It's really good but so expensive.

 

I remember when I was hiding behind some scenery and this guy ran up to one of my teammates and did the "your caught" or w/e it is. Well I shot him in the back, saving my teammate but also making the guy cry. Then I waited a while longer and in the end it was a 1v1 situation between me and a friend. I was lying down on the floor so couldnt move very well but I was hiding half covered behind the corner of a wall and I saw my opponent(friend) dash over to some cover. We then started exchanging fire. It was really wierd because we had these crappy paintball guns which im guessing were shooting at like 100fps? Anyway I could see them moving through the air towards me curving slightly and most were hitting the wall but they were all so close to my face. I shot him in the face twice but face shots dont count as a hit in the end he sent 5 perfectly on target knocking me out of the game.

rule 1) Dont lie down lmao. Your signing your own deathtrap because you cant move very quickly. Crouching is ALWAYS optimal.

 

 

 

rule2) headshots (mask shots, because you should ALWAYS be wearing a mask) count? even if you hit their real head. I was playing a castle game (the place I go to has a huge castle, where we play attack/defend.) and I was an attacker, I tried crawling from a bunker to one about 10 yards closer, I got lit up and took nearly 10-12 shots on the top of my head.

They hurt SO bad. Because there is no splatter factor like normal paintballs. Its just straight up blunt force impact.

I've gone a couple times. I'm a pretty good shot and pretty quick. However once I was the only guy left on the team, and took out two people out of like 6. Then I started running across and got entirely plastered :| I had on a sweatshirt though, so it's all good.

I laugh as the more and more I read this topis the more and more it seems like im the only who who actually plays both Speedball and Woodsball professionally. :ohnoes: :ohnoes: :wall: :wall:

 

Oh well haha. Its the greatest sport ever. <3:

 

The one thing I dislike is that this great sport is not recognized by organizations like the NCAA because it would be a great addition to College sports (I know Colleges like Uconn and Penn State have paintball clubs that basicly play like it was a NCAA sport, but the sport itself needs recognition)

 

I can counter so many of the myths people have about paintball. Mainly the one that it is a very dangerous sport. It IS A DANGEROUS SPORT, but only if PLAYED THE WRONG WAY. If you take your mask off, get shot in the eye and get blinded, well thats your own damn fault. If you fog up, simply call for a ref to escort you out of the field. Simple. And yes, the kid who did get shot in the eye in Connecticut (google it if you want) I happen to know, as he goes to my school. He was playing the game the wrong way, in the backyard with no supervision. The jackass. Almost ruined the sport for me.

 

 

But, on a lighter note, the team went to Upton, Mass for the day to play a scenario at Fox 4 Paintball, and was a blast.

I've played before, and it was a lot of fun. But really, I prefer Airsoft.

i use to play alot, only tornement/speed ball though, non of this scenario stuff :P

but then for some reason i went and got a job which ment i had to work sundays, which is when i played D:

so now i have about £600+ of equipment littering my house...

i cant wait to play again :D nothing like the adrenalin rush when your on the start gate, the ref has just shouted for 10 seconds and u know that in a few seconds all hell is going to brake lose XD
