Pins & Needles ...

... are so damn annoying! I've always gotten them since I was young, but it seems I get them every day now! It usually happens when I've been on the computer all day, between 6 and 11 hours. I get it in my left foot, then it goes away. Then my left calf & foot, then left thigh, and then left buttcheek! It gets really frustrating sometimes. Hard to talk.

It probably means I need exercise but ... eh.

Anyone else get anything like this?

I beleive the feeling actually means that whatever part of the body isn't getting enough blood, so it sends out nerve signals like "OI! MOVE ME SO I CAN GET SOME FREAKIN' BLOOD!"

I get it whenever I sit cross-legged for longer than 20 minutes or so.. rather interesting to try and stand up to walk.. :)

That would explain why I don't get it in my right hand

That can easily be prevented if you just walk around the office/room/whatever for a few minutes every hour or so.

6-11 hours I hope you exercise/or don't eat much or you would be one unhealthy person :(

Anyway I get pins and needles only when I'm lying on my bed reading and i have my hand underneath my head or supporting it in the air. Then i get it in my hand obviously. Only twice I have gotten it in my foot and thats when I was playing PS2 in a weird position

I used to sit on my feet for that feeling, I kinda like it...

Once after sitting on my feet for a good few hours at the computer I tried getting up, oh my god that was fun, two dead feet. They just flopped and it took about 3 minutes to get them working again.

as long as you are happier with playing on the computer 6-11 hours a day than keeping fit, then dont pay attention to anyone saying anything about it. its your choice, not theirs  .

i never get pins and needle because i am constantly fidgeting. doctor says thats why im so thin, i never really ever stop moving. im constantly flipping over in my bed all night, and right now i am shaking my feet around. always got to keep moving...

i get pins and needles constantly in my ring and little finger on my right hand.

its is due to slight compression on one of my nerves on my elbow, following a r.t.a i had almost 3 years ago.

after scans and tests i've been told it'll go away on its own accord.

its not painfull or owt, just plain annoying.

i also get it in my legs if i kneel on em, good fun trying to walk on them when i get it

Pins n Needles are smegging great man! When they take over your left leg and you try to walk down the stairs, oh the comedy!

Cramp is a bugger though. Actually worse are my stingers. I get shooting pains from my neck to my shoulder sometimes; probably through rugby. I can dislocate my shoulder now at whim, which is a handy party trick.

But uh, yeah, anyway, don't knock pins n needles! :D

The best is when you wake up and find both your arms are asleep on you because of the way you were lying on the matress  I've had that happen a few times over the years and it is hilarious until they start hurting.

I know the price. I pay it gladly.

Scarily enough, this topic has influenced me ...

starting today I am going to exercise & eat healthily; starting the morning with a ham sandwich and 25 sit-ups (damn that was hard). No more fried foods eh.

Good for you. It'll be good for you in the long run!

Wow, 6-11 hours not bad... your getting there. I once spent 16 hours on EQ never got em, because I was constantly changing positions =p , but I get em when ever I just wake up from wierd positions.
