gorgoroth
I'm interrested in getting 88 Summoning when i eventually have the money. I'll only want to use Crimson Charms as they are the best vallue for money. I have just short of 2K of them atm. How much more will i need? I couldnt find a decent calculator anywhere. Can someone link me to one? Also, aside from Waterfiends, whats the next best crimson dropper? I'm pretty sure getting a large ammount of Charms at Fiends is going to be a boring task so i'll want a few alternatives. Thanx in advance :) EDIT: Is there any reason i should even go beyond 88 Summoning? **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]
Inuashakent
Make sure you pick up all charms while you're hunting for Crimsons. And Waterfiends and Rock lobsters both work very well, although Scarabites could work. They're a bit faster than Rock lobsters but far more expensive. Waterfiends aren't as boring as most think... or it wasn't for me. And the Tip calculator works perfectly fine. I would use it in conjunction with the planner, although I'm sure there are special calculators that do everything for you... I just don't know what they are. Should i stick with making Stranger Plants till 88? Or should i keep on doing the best i can? Money wont be that much of an issue as i can easily make it with Aviansies, GWD, etc. And yeah Waterfiends arent THAT bad, i just think 10k + of them might bore me. EDIT: According to the Tip.it Calculator i need 13 201 Crimson Charms for 88 Summoning making only Stranger Plants. I already have 1984 so that leaves me with a remaining 11 217 to get. Each Stranger Plant requires 1 Bagged Plant and 128 Shards. 128 * 13 201 = 1 689 728 Shards. 1 689 728 * 25 = 42 243 200gp 13 201 * 1 170gp = 15 445 170gp 42 243 200 + 15 445 170 = 57 688 370gp So its going to cost me just short of 58Mil to get 88 Summoning if i dont switch my Pouches/Scrolls for Shards. Does this look right? Is this the best way of getting to 88? **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]
Lets_3ekout
Why are you so intent on going with stranger plants? you should move onto granite lobs/swamp titans as soon as you can. 58mil doesn't sound right either, since level 1-99 is aprox ~75m (or so kent's guide says). I'm going for 88 right now aswell, and I counted that 82-88 should cost ~9m. Remember that trading pouches in saves enourmous amounts of money. I know what you mean about getting bored of fiends - dust devils, nechs and black demons are all nice breaks from the fiends grinding. Try scarabite cannoning if you can, be very carefull though, I almost died w/ 99 def last time I did it. As for going past 88 summoning, there's plenty of great summons - personally I plan on going to 89 since I've heard great things about geysers. Plenty of good stuff left if you have the money the continue. I'm really no pro at Summoning so if someone could help me out a bit whit what to make i would appreciate it. As for the 58Mil, thats when not swapping in any Pouches. You get 1/3 of the Shards used back right? Is it more? Or less? This will cut down costs alot. Granite lobsters are more exp and faster then stranger plants. You get 70% of the shards back. Not sure on the costs as it varies depending on your playing style. Lets_3ekout
Yep, what Joe said. Stranger plants are good at 69 but at 74 swap over to granite lobs. Kent's summon guide (in AoW) has a nice list of what summons to create at which level. As a heads up, swamp lizards are a pain in the [wagon] to buy right now, and will be over the next few days. 2lum CC merch clan plans out merching them from 1k-->10kea and dumping. If they follow through with it that could be a long time... Although that shouldn't matter if you're 69 now. Not sure on the costs as it varies depending on your playing style. So if i get 70% of the Shards back i can shave a 70% of the total cost of shrads. That means: 57 688 370gp * 70% = 40 381 859gp. 57 688 370gp - 40 381 859 = 17 306 511gp. So already its starting to look much better. I'm sure that making Granite Lobsters will take that number down even more right? **Thanks to Boo_Boy666 for my amazing Singnature**[hide=Slaytanicc's Achievments]|99Cooking achieved 24Dec 2008|99Strength achieved 17Feb 2009|99Hit Points achieved 8April 2009||99Defense achieved 29May 2009|99Attack achieved 2August 2009|99Ranged achieved 14August 2009|[/hide][hide=Guides by Slaytanicc]Aviansie Maging + Ranging Guide (Must Read!!)Iron Mining + Banking GuideGreen Dragons GuideAnkou Slaying Guide[/hide]

I intend to get 99 Ranged, 99 Mage and 90 Prayer first. I might oly get 88 Summoning in a month or two, just want to plan things out so long. JoeDaStudd
Well granite lobsters give more exp. The downside is they use more shards, but the seconds are only 10% of the cost and you can take a 5kg block and simply trade back the pouches then chisel more 500g blocks and repeat. So yes there much better even if your running the plants yourself. EDIT looks like I'll be catching some swamp lizards for the next few days at over 50k per trip sounds like it should be good money and hunting exp [hide=Drops]Dragon Axe x11Berserker Ring x9Warrior Ring x8SeercullDragon MedDragon Boots x4 - all less then 30 kcGodsword Shard (bandos)Granite Maul x 3Solo only - doesn't include barrows[/hide][hide=Stats][/hide]

smobo
Don't forget about other charms too. Golds cut the cost down, and aren't slow to use (I can still get almost 200k xp/hr cashing in golds), and blues are cheaper then crims, faster then crims, but unfortunately very rare. Your main focus should be crims, the bulk of your xp will be from that, but you should be picking up every charm. EDIT: Is there any reason i should even go beyond 88 Summoning? Geyser titan is when combat familiars start getting amazing. Plus, I personally think pack yak is better overall then unicorn. The iron/steel titans also have awesome specs when used with a slayer helm. Great for tasks that you pray on. Also the wolpentinger is great in the chaos tunnels due to them taking such a small area.
