Red Dress================One more revision

Featured Replies

Well it is not perfect, but it is finished :)

overall I am pretty happy with it. It was a very challenging piece.

Reworked the body, did the face, hair etc. this time. Think I fixed the rear issue, it had more to do with the width and contour of the leg than anything.

Those folds look super. I dunno about an anime face though, the dress looks too real... :)

Thanks,

Yeah I think so too, but some anime have pretty serious shading...I am just doing that part for the contest.

it seems no one really looks at the face overly much anyway...just the hair, eyes and body lol.

to be honest... the butt looks a lil big...

Im with LP on that, the dress is beautiful, and anime's are known for cell shading, so I dunno How well it would fit... Id like to see how it turns out, b/c there are some characterisitcs of anime that are really cool, and can be applied to many different art forms :D

If you notice those, the top favorited anime pieces at devart, a lot of them use soft shading.

I am not going for purist here, just anime enough to qualify for the competition! haha

anyway.

yes, she has a big butt. I suppose that is true, although

the reference I used had a big butt.

Im definately not opposed to the anime idea, so PLEASE go ahead, lol

P.S. The refrence needs a Smaller butt then

 Wow, awesome work so far. The rear is a unusually large, but only by a few pixels.

I just hope you clean up your edges for the final. :)

The folds on that dress are so amazing, the one thing I don't like is the head's a little big, or that's how it appears to me. But overall, that's flipping amazing. :D

yeah it may be. I really have no clue how big to make anime heads. This is my 4th attempt at anime, and all the earlier ones were universally reviled :)

Thanks for the compliment :)

The face kinda makes her look like an elf....not in a bad way, just not too....anime...ee....

Jawline may need to be harder and her part is a bit off....other than that, brilliant work :D

Btw, I'm really curious about what type of art your wife does. Anything you have that you could show? :)

I actualy like the anime style of this, looks realy nice :D

Great job so far tttia.

Amazing!!! u could change the eye color lol for it to look better lol

Looks incredible, however..

The line of the bra or whatever, where it comes to a point on the woman's left breast looks too pronounced. Makes it look like a displaced nipple..

If y'know what I mean..

The dress is definiately very well done, but for some reason I feel like darker hair would fit it better.

k, now going for a realism feel...couldn't stand that anime thing, and it didn't win the contest anyway lol.

So now re-working it. And I think I have the rear problem diagnosed...but will fix that tomorrow.

Ooooo... even while half her head is missing and the arm disconnected, it's looking better already

Yeah, I really like how the WIP looks, it seems to be coming out better than the anime face. It also seems to prove my point about black hair and red dresses :D

speechless

there is no hair yet, so not sure how that would be, but the original model has dark hair. I chose the red because anime traditionally does not use as many muted colors.
