June 13, 200917 yr Just got 96 summoning \ and I wanna know if there are other ways of using pack yak and its ability to do things better. For example banking Dagannoth Hide and bones while DKing, storing for green D'hide and bones. Are there other better things to do with it? Thanks! June 13, 200917 yr Personally I have liked doing dragon runs with them. At Black Dragons you can last forever, just banking the hides and bones with the special. If you are ranging you will last until you get bored, if melee'ing you can keep going till you run out of potions (I can last 3-4 hours in 1 trip). If you do Red Dragons you can last about 60 kills (only about 22 if you use yak without scrolls), and red dragons can get you over 350k gp/hour. A few other things I have found yaks useful for are: [*:2yycqaq5]Boss Hunting - Fill the yak full of potions, and a couple unicorns. Then once you use up the potions you can move on to the Unicorns. [*:2yycqaq5]Mining - If you wanted to do something like Coal, it makes less thann half as much banking, which is always nice. I also used Yak when I tried mining gold, but it wasn't worth doing gold. [*:2yycqaq5]Brawler Gloves - When using up certain brawlers the Yak is very useful (such as firemaking or smithing brawlers), lets you bring twice as much to the wild per trip. [*:2yycqaq5]Rune Mining - If you wanted to stay out in the wild for a LONG time you could do this :P
June 13, 200917 yr So the pack yak special works past level 30 wilderness? Check out this cool browser gladiator game!
June 13, 200917 yr I think all the normal things are covered but I do have one interesting idea when killing steel dragons you could use a pack yak to store the steel bar drops as you go; remove them for any more valuble drops and add them as you remove potions from the yak. This would especially be considerable if you killed mithril dragons. Orthodoxy is unconciousnessthe only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed.
June 13, 200917 yr You really only kill like 6 mith dragons per slayer task so no point for miths but love the steel dragon idea

Not very much profit. Also you can only use 2.5 scrolls per minute so it wouldnt be very good for having to bank all those bars + bones + other drops. Even killing red dragons, I kill them too fast for the Yak to keep up.

Bring a games necklace, an extra pouch, and a full BoB, dismiss your BoB right before the whirlpool, go in, drop how many potions your BoB can hold, teleport to the barbarian outpost, pick up the potions from your old BoB, go in, summon your BoB and fill it, pick up the potions you dropped. quit
June 13, 200917 yr you can go in, drop items, bank, get more, go back in, summon a familiar and fill it, then pick up dropped items

Not worth the time at all. I would just use a Unicorn... [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
