June 13, 200917 yr Hey. The Sgs had gone down 2m in the past 2-3days. Its current price is 48.4m at market price. I was thinking of getting one. So, is this a good time to buy one? Or will sgs fall even more? Off topic question: A)This may sound noobie but, how mnay minutes does it take for the special attack bar to be fully charged? B) Is a Sgs good/helpful for training?
June 13, 200917 yr Wait a day and it will stabilize 1) Around 5 mins or so 2) Yeah if you know how to pray flash, you can camp at spiritual mages forever (very helpful for slayer) Edit: Some notes -Sometimes when you do a 0 with spec, you still get 10hp and 5 prayer back for some reason -Bunyip + sgs or Guthans + sgs = Very good tanking equipment -Should use 10% prayers just because you have the sgs (bring along 3 prayer pots per task) -Always use piety when speccing

June 13, 200917 yr Saradomin GWD has definitely gotten a bit harder, so I would say it should fluctuate a lot during the new week or two. If you are able to have the godsword and still have money to throw around then I would say get it because its really helpful (mainly for slayer). It does take 5 mins for your special to recharge for 0-100%.

June 14, 200917 yr yeah its supposed to heal 10hp and 5pray points even on a 0 Only if it hits. Not if it hits a 0. It randomly heals 10 hitpoints and 5 prayer points on 0 specs every now and then, not sure why.

June 14, 200917 yr I carry the sgs with me on almost all tasks (excluding dragons). That includes ranging tasks. I use the special mostly to top off prayer. That way I can use a 5% or 10% prayer special. For free. For slayer the SGS is a valuable tool. Especially if you tank a lot like I do.

You should wait with buying, but i expect SGS price to go up alot because ranging Saradomin boss solo or in team is alot harder now. So wait with buying, price manipulators might try to take action. Special bar take between 4-6mins to be fully charged. SGS is useful for alot, but a cheaper and very handy and good option is "Enchanced Excalibur". To get that: 1) Merlin's crystal quest finished - gives normal Excalibur 2) Do all Seers diary tasks (Quite alot level requirements) - Enchanced Excalibur by going to Lady of Lake with Seers headband 3. Advantages: You can use it everywhere and anywhere without thinking of "Oh i'll loose that:/). It cost only 1.5K GP, so losing it will never affect you. Example, BGS/SGS/AGS + Abyssal whip w/Rune defender soloing Bandos boss will result in losing Abyssal whip. Abyssal whip w/Rune defender is best for Bandos, and Godswords are good for specials. It gives 15% defence boost and 20 HP heal per 100% Special bar. It's one of the best and useful specials in the game.
