Anybody else remember this awesome show? I used to watch it long ago, and I'm now watching episodes on Youtube. Very clever and dark cartoon.

 

 

 

Unfortunately, Nick closed the cartoon long ago, mainly because they thought it "sent a bad message" to children.

 

 

 

Invader Zim is a much more mature cartoon than say Spongebob. The overall setting of the show is dark. It was created with teens in mind.

 

 

 

Anybody else an Invader Zim fan? :P

I can't say I ever saw people's obsession with this show, I thought it sucked.

It was alright, but IMO it was waaay to gross to watch.

I used to watch Invader Zim. The only episode I remember was when Zim stole organs from other people and ate them. He ended up with like 5 hearts and 3 digestive systems or something. Seen that one yet?

Better then all the crappy shows they have on now.

I never really saw the appeal to it. Although it had it's moments with Gir.

Yeah, it had more adult themes. One of the reasons why it was taken off the air. That Dark Harvest episode (the one with the organs) is probably the most disgusting episode. It was still good imo.

 

 

 

Definately not for kids under 10, it has lots of insanity and black comedy.

When Invader Zim was launched along with The Fairly OddParents, Christian Parenting Today criticised both the programs. The publication said that both were unsuitable for children but Invader Zim was the far less offensive of the two.

 

 

 

Ren and Stimpy was weird, I didn't really get it (at all). It's like Beavis and Butt-head.

I used to watch this whenever it came on. Was a good show imo.

There wasn't much to really get with Ren and Stimpy. It was needless violence, and a lot of it. You really have to love the old nicktoons. Honestly though if they tried putting it on the air today it'd get booted off before it had a second episode.

:lol: I actually remember that episode. I miss Invader Zim now.

I enjoyed it when I used to watch it. Favourite episode would be the water balloon fight one where Zim builds a massive space launcher. Think I'll go watch it now ahahhaaha.
