Who thinks yeah, I lost, I am poorer and the other guy is laughing to the bank but gosh darnit im proud I was honorable! I bet your a little angry that you lost. Its a game there is no honor, this isn't real life in med-evil warfare like the 300 or something its a game ... if you can have an advantage use it. So your basically saying there is no point taking ANYTHING in the wilderness (food, potions etc) that you should just stand there with expensive weaponry, armour and what have you and just fight without anyway to defend yourself? or make yourself last longer? Good Player killing is being able to defy the obstacles that are thrown against you. This includes prayers, food and running. Well i agree with that, but if someone is at say half hitpoints of even 75% it's worth taking the food especially with the crazy attacks that people can manage. When random in rune, which you probably only hit 1/5 times, safes at full HP, i don't care what kind of epic KO you pull out, even if you hit max your not going to have a chance to KO, and in that case you safe as well, and you both end up safing and not dieing and wasting food. I agree with you on everything you said...using everything you can to try and kill your opponent is good. Those of us who pk aren't desperate for money... we pk for the fun and challenge... I would rather respawn with no items in my inventory and had a solid, good, fair fight... then be standing over a pile that i did something nubby to earn. pking is only about "getting a kill no matter what" when you are strapped for cash or haven't been pking long enough to truly appreciate pking... I was the same way you were i would pj and do anything nooby to get a pile when i started pking in 01 because i was strapped for cash... but years later, I could care less if my entire bank gets whiped, i can re-earn the cash in a few days and be right back to pking... At the end of the day whether i've died or piled multiple people, i can still smile knowing that i fought fair fights and win or lose, I enjoyed myself. Non honorable pking doesn't get kills, seriously ive tried it before, i used to safe, pray and do whatever the hell i wanted to stay alive, but eventually i noticed everyone just ran, or safed themselves, and i never actually got any kills. There shouldn't be a reason to safe in f2p, though. This isn't some stupid rule. That's logic. The max hit is a 33 with a r2h + prayer + potion + 99 str + rune gaunts. Unless you're somehow below that, it's a much better idea to hit your opponent then eat. Safeing is good, but safing when you don't need to is bad. ~It's Super Effective!
