Project rectum is finally complete. It is a small microchip inserted in the rectum of newborn babies. this will help us solve crime and keep track of our population in the future. the chip is designed to look like a tumor, and the public are not being informed.

Disturbing.

concerned mother: "My baby's got an anal tumor!!!"

doctor: *sips coffee and continues reading newspaper* "Well, nothing we can do about it. Um-hummm"

Update on TROK's space program. We are sending a constant supply train to mars. we now have 5174 citizens and 250 soldiers. A small town has been built on the shore of the ocean, and an iron mine is being built.

Yes, they will. Doctors implant the chips, it takes one doctor to screw your entire plan over.

Meh never thought of that one. There will only one doctor in each hospital that will insert the chip, everyone else will be told that their baby is being screened for health reasons. If those doctors start to rant about secret chips, everyone will think they went crazy, and they will be dealt with.

The new model of the Raptor is close to being released.

Besides, the civilian population would've already retreated once the fighting began. Most people won't sit in their living room watching TV while a war is being fought on their front lawn. They would've moved deeper into Germania.

If you did attack, then I hurt my own land, sure. Not my own people though.

You ignored the drones again. But anyways, so when they return home they are going to be happy to see their homes and crops burn down to the ground?

The f22 raptor, from it's first flight test, spent another 15 years in development, plus the years before it was ready for a flight test. I'm not saying you should take that long, but a few years to spit out a whole new plane is kind of impossible.

Even though it's already long done with, but I don't know how you got the plans for the raptor from the saudis

To be fair, I am almost 100% positive that Aether deployed drones into Africa as part of the beginning of WWIV. Ross gave control to Latino over the drones anyway and just took a backseat position. Latino could very well have deployed drones.

How about this. Instead of being politicians and accusing the other of saying something, how about we replay this. Latino, starting with your invasion, or whatever.

We should all work on a peace treaty and make a mutual agreement that Germania and Russia should not expand any further, which will basically dispel any fear and hostilities displayed towards them. The treaty might also (since land is pretty much not available to newcomers) set up a system in which newcomers can join a nation and play along-side the leader of that nation and become, for example, the Minister of Defence, or some sort of governor of a nation's colony/province. We can also set up a succession system in which a leader can relinquish his leadership over to a successor that he picks. This can provide a few benefits: 1) current players aren't pissed off when a newcomer comes and takes a chunk of their land, 2) provide an alternative to aforementioned problem and still allow newcomers to play and enjoy the game, and 3) keeps the storyline flowing in the same general direction.

I say that we should go ahead and vote on the peace treaty. This is the most original version of it, as proposed by the government of Britannia to Germania and Russia as a mediator between the two Powers and the Alliance.

Germania has basically already agreed to this, so the process should go by quickly and officially end World War IV.

Miners have discovered massive veins of oil on Mars.

You might of meant iron there, since oil isn't usually in veins, and you might have just mixed up words.

Once again, I'm fine with giving up any of my countries. If new people join, we can figure it out as it happens.

Who doesn't?

I still think it's better than a person wanting part of another person's country that they aren't willing to give up.

The Minister of Defence was a pure example. You could also become second-in-command and make decisions while the leader is away and also be put in the line of succession for when the leader decides to quit, making you the leader automatically. It also adds a little more diversity to the game, just like the original Hegemony.

Anyway, this post probably seems a little incoherent, but basically only the first part is really the treaty. The rest are just suggestions that I think could add an optional way to improve gameplay.

The only countries that are mine that are unclaimable are the former US, the former Mexico, former south africa, and brazil. The reason why they're unclaimable is they were all destroyed, and the only stuff there is all Brazilian, and nothing of the the former country. Plus there's a tiny amount of people there (comparatively).

The countries I'd rather not lose are most of my central american countries, columbia, and the democratic republic of the congo. But those are still claimable by new players.

There are only 11 countries left. I think you should leave them open for new players, doom. I don't see why you should get the rest of africa anyways.

Once all the countries are taken I will be enforcing the new players can take non-capital countries rule. If you own multiple countries please specify your capital. You can negotiate to get the person to choose a different country that you own.

What should we do to help the person to be brought in fairly? Should everyone help them, or just the person who they are taking a country off?

just os you all kknow, peru isn't occupied anymore, becuase that used to be mine, then you wouldn't let me have it, but you're still showing it on the map.

I'm uhm, researching renewable energy sources.

Only reason why you couldn't have it was because it was another player's capital.

It's fine. I doubt we were very clear, since I imagine this thread would be confusing if your starting fairly late in.

We're starting research on antimatter. Yes, I know that I said it's terribly impractical. It is. And I don't expect any real results, unless this thread lasts a good long time. It will start with a budget of 1 billion a year (They don't really need more for now)

I thought we were pretending the war never happened?

The treaty doesn't explicitly imply that a war happened. It just is an agreement that Germania and Russia won't Blitzkrieg across the world and start a major world war that would probably destroy this thread.

@Mage: Doom has already said that she will offer some of her land if a new player comes and really needs a country. Let's just follow what she said and just work it out once that happens. While I don't think it's fair for a small/medium-sized country to be forced to give up land, I still think it's fine for the leader to allow the new player to have some participation with their nation, not necessarily causing some kind of civil war and messing up the storyline in the process. If you're not willing to give up land, you should be able to say "no." If the new player just absolutely won't take no for an answer, then they can work it out over PM and possibly make the newcomer second-in-command and give them some power until the leader quits, which in this case would grant them automatic succession (not allowing some random countries to swarm the former-leader's country and take it by force or whatever). Automatic succession is fairer and allows the story to progress in a coherent way.
