Levon_
If you don't know REM stands for rapid eye movement and is the of your sleep that you dream in. A while back I was laying in bed staring at the wall and then my eyes closed and I was all of a sudden driving on a highway. We crossed a huge bridge and then arived at a huge building. We came up to the counter inside this building and then I woke up. After about 5 seconds I realized I was dreaming and that I had fallen DIRECTLY into REM sleep. I was amazed and I tried to remember the feeling. After about 5 minutes it happened yet AGAIN but I woke up extremely quickly as I knew what was going on and I got extremely excited. Usualy you don't go into REM sleep untill after 2-3 hours. The feeling of falling directly into it is sureal and impossible to explain. Now has anyone else ever experienced this? Or did I just have a very rare occurence? It's great you know what you're talking about rustiod. Everything you've said is 100% accurate a true. doomy
Couldn't it be like a daydream (well at night, but the same idea...), which you actually fall asleep in? Then you wouldn't actually notice the not dreaming part in between. Doomy edit: I like sheep

It stands for Rapid Eye Movement Sleep cause your eyes move from left to right and up and down very fast, i think that has something to do with your brains making the images for your dreams But yes, it happened to me sometimes [hide]Felix, je moeder.Je moeder felixJe vader, felix.Felix, je oma.Felix, je ongelofelijk gave pwnaze avatar B)Felix, je moeder.[/hide]

Me_Hate_Libs
i've had it, its basiccly like when you fall asleep you instantly wake up (Well it feels like that) thats what happened. Well, as we often have no awareness of time or time passing as we sleep, if you feel asleep and were asleep for 3 hours before you went into REM sleep, then it would feel instantaneous. BlindBaker
Happens to me sometimes. Except I don't realize it. When I do realize it, it turns out to be a crazy lucid dream. It's great. Usually something jolts me awake, like I'm running away form something and then my real-life body starts trying to run in my bed. If you don't know REM stands for rapid eye movement and is the of your sleep that you dream in. A while back I was laying in bed staring at the wall and then my eyes closed and I was all of a sudden driving on a highway. We crossed a huge bridge and then arived at a huge building. Or did I just have a very rare occurence? Sounds to me like some really quick version of Wake-Initiate Lucid Dreaming (WILD) where you slip straight into a Lucid Dream through meditating. The whole thing takes about a half hour, though, and requires an extreme amount of practice, or else it'll go EXTREMELY WRONG. Always fun. For the people that don't know what REM is, it's the dreaming state of sleep where your eyes move around really fast. If you're tired, sometimes you can feel your eyes start to vibrate. That's the beginnings of REM. Sort of feels like you're moving back and forth, but you're not really moving. Wizz
I like Lucid Dreams. You can do whatever you want and I always hope for them. Only bad thing is after you notice it's a Lucid Dream I wake up roughly 5 mins after I figure it out. Zierro
^^ Used to hate that song, now it brings back good memories. I start dreaming as soon as I fall asleep pretty often. The weirdest feeling ever is right before I start to doze off, when I'm in between consciousness and subconsciousness. I can still get up out of my bed at that point but it still feels like I'm in a whole other realm.

Phil
I'm sure I've gone back into a dream after waking up in the morning and hitting the snooze on my alarm (for only 10 or 20 mins) All I can think of right now is the band. Myridden
This happens a lot in summer break, where I sleep in. If you would like to know how to actually do the WILD thing, go here. that whole site is dedicated on lucid dreaming. Anyways, something odd happened last week which I think has something to do with REM sleep. I was in the middle of a dream when my alarm clock woke me up (it was 2 inches away from my ear, and its insanely loud :D ). It interrupted my dream and right when I woke up my vision was spinning all over the place, I couldn't control my eyes at all. It was having a little spaz attack, going left and right, up and down. I immediately closed my eyes and it slowly stopped. I never told this to anyone, It is a bit too odd to describe. I think its because the alarm clock interrupted my REM stage, but my eyes have to immediately stop after waking up from it, right? I'm never putting the alarm clock that close to my ear again though.
