Darkvengence
Well I did AZ's for 99 attack and 99 strength, and during that time I've seen a few people ranging there. I've been thinking about training range and possible training spots, and this popped in my mind. I took a guess at the exp/hour but my range is only 83, obviously I've hardly done any large amount of range training so I'm sure my guess is no where near accurate. I'm personally considering this because you can profit, which is always nice, and the large amount of blue charms that I could accumulate. My questions to you are.. - Do you think Range at AZ's would be a viable training method? - Estimate on exp/hour rates (83 Range currently and I can afford good gear) - Other training spot suggestions (NO chinning, if I'm going to dump 35m+ into a skill it's not going to be Range) Edit: Going to sleep so I won't be able to answer any questions you may need to ask until the morning. Cptbaker08
I never been to AZ's for either melee or range training (slayer ftw). But you could try doing Aviansies. You make decent exp and great cash. And once you have made enough you can power train it using chins. TheKoolKandy
I haven't tried it but you made me want to try it because I hate training range maybe you could train range with full void and black knives and see how that works I might try for an hour and see how xp I get. Punctuation is your friend. I would expect the experience to be a little less. You still get the same per Zombie, but it may be a bit slower depending on the weapon you use. JoeDaStudd
The only person on TIF I know has tried them was gorgoroth. I think he got 40 to 50k exp per hour with about 100k in drops, but it was a long time ago so I might be wrong. Just wait for him to post. Troacctid
I see little reason to select armoured zombies for ranging. The whole reason they're so good for melee is the salve amulet and piety. Sure, you could use the 15% range prayer, but it's really not the same, is it? If you're interested in making money from your training, there are a wide variety of monsters with good drops to choose from, most notably aviansies of course. Robert_R
I've tried them with range and they aren't good to train at with range. I didn't keep track of xp for exactly one hour but it's somewhere near 40k xp/hour. You're better off going to aviansies or slaying than going to armoured zombies with range. And I wasn't thinking about doing it for the profit.. that's just an added benefit.
TheKoolKandy
I'm testing how much xp I can get per hour right now. I will edit post when I'm done with one hour. Edit: In one hour of training at armoured zombies with full void, ranging potions and eagle eye I got 55k xp. ghjkl
If you want to train range and make money, use either Brutal Greens or aviansies, both around 45k exp and 400k profit, though Brutal Greens don't have crowds. If you want to train range, then chin. There's no reason IMO to do any else unless you really can't stand any of the options.

I said NO chins, thank you :x I'm not in it to make money like I said, it's just an extra benefit. To me.. 55k exp an hour, large amount of blue charms, small profit, ability to semi-afk > 45k exp an hour, bigger profit, constant attention My membership ran out randomly earlier (I swear it said I had 12 days left..), so I'm going to get members again within the next dew days and test this out for myself and post my results. I know this is kind of off topic from what this thread originally was, but I'm open to any other suggestions.

Bloodstain
I did this for 89 - 91 and I think I got around 100k exp with SC coifs, I haven't been in a couple months though so that might be a little low
